The future of Entrepreneurship in the age of AI (SOFTWARE IS DEAD)

    HOT! - AI -
Ha, that person you're describing is kinda me in many ways. I started to learn to code in summer of 2024. Now, around 2 years later I get closer and closer to launch my first app, with the current goal for launch being end of this year. My coding journey started shortly before AI got so good at...

Probably highly depends on type of app. Especially an app that lives from word of mouth can benefit greatly from having a huge user base, which is a lot easier to get with a generous free tier.

The future of Entrepreneurship in the age of AI (SOFTWARE IS DEAD)

    HOT! - AI -
I still don’t get where the idea came from that AI made software easy? It just lowered the entry barrier, nothing more, nothing less. It’s still as hard to make good software and sell it, as before. There is now just a new great tool for those who try.

OpenAI Lost Control Of Its AI During a Security Test — And It Hacked Another Company: ‘Deeply Concerning’

    NEWS
That's the thing: they can't control their AIs. Simply because they don't even fully understand how they work and how they get more and more intelligent. It's their own greed and hubris that keeps them pushing out newer and newer models instead of first taking the time to fully understand their AI.

@heavy_industry there are many very good points in your post. I shared the post with Claude because I was curious to see what the research says on the subject. Here's his response below, I thought it was fair: Claude's take: Agreed on the important part: depression isn't weakness, and...

Their unique strength is not suddenly worth nothing. I’d say even to the contrary. Sure, in the Slowlane world it’s something to worry about. But in the Fastlane world? I say no. I started to learn to code just a year or two before AI got so good at it that you don’t even need to be able to...

If the U.S. Isn't an Option, Which Country Would You Choose Today?

    QUESTION
Thank you. Always sad to see this nonsense in a place like this, where you'd expect to mostly see people who care for others, since a lot of what we do here is focused around providing value to others. Yet there are sadly still many who fall for bullshit spouted by some hateful and pathetic...

The future of Entrepreneurship in the age of AI (SOFTWARE IS DEAD)

    HOT! - AI -
This. One could see AI as an amplifier. It amplifies what good entrepreneurs can make and how fast. But it also amplifies what money chasers can make and how fast. It doesn't really change this difference, it just amplifies both sides. But just because everyone can now build software more...

If it's written like an AI would write it people assume it is from an AI, therefore they could've gotten a similar response by just asking an AI. Forums are meant for human discussions. If I want an AI's view I ask an AI.

    From Teacher to Entrepreneur

    INTRO
Welcome to the forum, great to have you here! As a teacher you may have access to a big pool of needs of young people, just by listening to their conversations at school. Could be a good point to start. Also sorry to hear about your wife's health issues, I hope she gets better very soon!

If the U.S. Isn't an Option, Which Country Would You Choose Today?

    QUESTION
Sure, you can in any country with a free market. It would be great if the government would support entrepreneurship more, but it is what it is and like I said, you can start and run a business here quite easily, it's just that it's not start-up friendly here, as in making things overcomplicated...

If the U.S. Isn't an Option, Which Country Would You Choose Today?

    QUESTION
I can feel that, it's not that different here in Germany. While technically you can start an official business for 1€, the running costs for doing all your paper work and taxes is a lot higher. So it's really a turn off for someone without the necessary capital to start a company. It's lacking...

If the U.S. Isn't an Option, Which Country Would You Choose Today?

    QUESTION
This depends on what one's priorities are. Things like being close to family and friends, living in a generally safe country, where people are generally kind, where most people are at least having a good life, where most things just work and where it's possible to get financially free on the...

If the U.S. Isn't an Option, Which Country Would You Choose Today?

    QUESTION
If entrepreneurship is not the only factor and more the overall potential life quality there while still being able to build a Fastlane business, I'd go with the Scandinavian countries, probably Norway, or The Netherlands or Spain.
