How can you teach or encourage resilience?

    ASK THE AI
How long do you think will it take from having an idea to getting people to sign up to a waitlist? This could take months. Every product starts with an idea at some point. You see a problem, you have an idea for a solution, you work on the solution.

How can you teach or encourage resilience?

    ASK THE AI
What might help is, instead of doing it for getting external feedback, to learn to do it for oneself and thereby getting your dopamine hits from the process itself. Once you stop thinking about an end goal that's multiple steps ahead that you associate with getting gratification from, once you...

How to Protect Yourself from Fraud

    OFF-TOPIC
Fake Online Shops There's a great German YouTube channel that does fantastic documentaries. They also have an English channel where they release some of their German videos translated to English, and as far as I can see even videos that are only on their English channel. The English channel is...

Yep. One only needs to look outside one's own country to see if something is a direct result of the politics in one's own country, or maybe has more to do with global and more complex reasons. During Covid the gas prices here in Germany and many other European countries were lower than they've...

Thanks for clarifying. And like @EngineerThis pointed out about the price of eggs. Nobody gives a F*ck about how good a countries numbers look on a table, when those numbers don‘t reflect the people‘s felt experience living in that country. Here in Germany it‘s the same. My arguments weren‘t...

That's the case in most countries recently, here as well, since most of the world is experiencing an inflation currently. But I'd never trust any politican, no matter what side he's on, if he promises to solve that. That's pretty much what all populists all over the world do: take what makes the...

But why are so many statistics saying that the economics was rising? Ten Charts That Explain the U.S. Economy in 2023 One of them being this: Don‘t these suggest that everything was going better and better from year to year? I‘m honestly asking as I can only go by data and don‘t know what...

Good points, and I'm absolutely not someone interested in online arguments about political views - I actually don't really have any views about american politics, since I don't live there and therefore don't know enough about any of the political parties and their views to form a strong opinion...

Less war? He will end the war in the Ukraine probably, but not in favor of Ukraine. So in the end this would bring on a lot more war, and lots more civillians killed. Same goes probably for the Gaza situation. Not to mention if he leaves NATO, which will lead to even more war in the world. I...

Appreciate you doing this! What platform that offers paid ads has the best user experience (for someone running ads on them), and which brought the most customers?

Productivity Porn - a New Type of Action Faking?

I used Notion for quite some time as well, then switched to Obsidian. Both are fantastic tools and they can help tremendously when used right. I just don't see too much value in building a second brain or PKM, besides doing it for fun (which is totally fine). These tools can be used in great...

Productivity Porn - a New Type of Action Faking?

    CHAT
Yes, couldn't agree more. When I went down that rabbit hole and tried to create my own second brain I soon realized that, while it was quite fun to take some notes on interesting things, I never really read them again. And everything that was useful for me, I didn't need to read again, because I...

I also came up with a simple and minimalistic system. Craft for notes and project planning, Todoist for tasks, Structured for planning my day, and Obsidian for my passion project (novel writing).

Everyone who spent some time getting into productivity tools like Notion or Obsidian will most likely at some point come across the terms PKM which stands for personal knowledge management, Second Brain, GTD (Getting Things Done) and others. While trying to get the most out of these tools -...

Why Changing Yourself Is So Hard - and How to Do It Anyway

    MINDSET
@AceVentures I get your basic point, though I don‘t think my post necessitated such a harsh response. I‘m all in for lengthy posts with great insights. There are many of them on here - and some I dare to say have been written by me. But sometimes a video speaks for itself without a need to share...

Another great video by Kurzgesagt (which actually is a German term, as the channel is originally German, and means „in a nutshell“). View: https://youtu.be/75d_29QWELk?si=ZUEqZXJWJ0Lr-57w
