Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATThat is absolutely not true in Germany. A fast food worker usually gets the minimum wage or a bit more. The starting wage for a bachelor's degree is already somewhere between 40k and 60k a year, master's degree is higher than that, and the degree required for a professor is higher than a...- Supa

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATWhat about those fanboys of a cold blooded killer of that CEO? In Europe and other places around the world this guy would not get any applause but would be considered what he is: a murderer. I think that event has shown how many people have hatred towards the rich, that they actually glorify a...- Supa

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATPerfectly said, thank you! It‘s the same here in Germany. Most here don’t care about someone being rich, as long as they are not a piece of shit who acts like they are superior just because of their wealth. Be a decent human being and most are probably rather looking up to you and many may...- Supa

How to Protect Yourself from Fraud
OFF-TOPICQuishing - when the hook is a QR code The word “quishing” is a combination of “QR code” and “phishing” and it refers to a pretty new type of fraud scenario, in which criminals place fake QR codes in emails, letters or in public spaces that lead those scanning the QR code to fraudulent websites...- Supa

How to Protect Yourself from Fraud
OFF-TOPICI would only use those of well-known names, doesn't have to be Google, but I'd rather pick one of the big names that have lots and lots of good reviews and tests. Also, where possible, I'd use Passkeys, that Apple and Android offer.- Supa

Trump’s “Golden Visa” Plan – A Game Changer or a Gamble?
OFF-TOPICPlease correct me if I'm wrong or forgetting something, but couldn't a person who is able to pay $5mio also easily get a Green Card and live in the US without paying the fee for a Gold Card? I would've assumed if you were a multi millionaire you would easily get a Green Card.- Supa

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATI'm a bit shocked by some responses to this men/women topic... I thought by now most people in the western world would have understood that putting broad labels on people is not a realistic presentation of how it works in real life. Every sentence that starts with "men..." or "women..." will...- Supa

HOT! CHATI feel like many have forgotten a key idea about social media users, that puts much of what's happening online in context, and that, if ignored, can lead to some big distortions about how most people think: That of the loud minority and the silent majority. What is meant by this is simply...- Supa

HOT! CHATAh shit, yeah I can see why you worry. But I wouldn't worry too much, after all they were just elected, we haven't even our government yet, and it takes some time to implement what's needed to make military service mandatory again. So, if it happens, you are probably over the age to be...- Supa

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATHow old are you? If you are not fresh out of school or have children that age this wouldn’t affect you, right? And as far as I‘ve read talks are about 1 year. I remember when I came out of school the mandatory military service (1 year back then) was just abolished and I was pretty happy about...- Supa

HOT! CHATLike MTF said, just don‘t. I’ve avoided most of the news for a long time, when something big happens, you will know about it even without watching or reading the news.- Supa

The Cheapest Customers Are Also the Most EXPENSIVE $
MARKETINGThe simplest answer for why people are like this is envy. They see someone living a life that resembles one that they dream of, and are now presented with two options: Admitting that they are nowhere near living their dream life and that it's their responsibility where they are and where they...- Supa

A New Path to the Fastlane - App Development
EXECUTIONYes, it looks fantastic! I have downloaded it but so far only worked in Xcode as that‘s what I learned to code in. As soon as I got some time to play around in Cursor IDE I will let you know a proper feedback and if I make the switch :) Thank you for your insights, I appreciate it! For now I...- Supa

A New Path to the Fastlane - App Development
EXECUTIONThanks for asking :) At first it was quite intimidating to sit in front of a blank canvas, without any guidance on what to do first and what next, like I had during the course. But then I started to work on this project like I have been taught by Paul (the awesome guy doing the 100 Days of...- Supa

How to be a Tough Person?
MINDSETLearn to see your own value and don't let anyone's actions or words make you believe you're anything less worth than you actually are. If your workplace situation is not quite a positive one, you have three options that I see right now: Stand up for yourself and possibly get into conflicts...- Supa

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATAbsolutely can relate. If you grow up in a country where pretty much no one owns a gun, and you never held one in your hands, neither heard one shoot, it must be quite intimidating the first time you do it. Next time I‘m in the US I might give it a shot (ha), but would probably have lots of...- Supa

HOT! CHATYes. It's always a reason for people to joke about when someone in the US makes the news by sueing someone for millions of dollars. This is also connected to something else I noticed when in the US, as others have mentioned: lawyers being allowed to openly advertise their "sueing others for you"...- Supa

HOT! CHATIn Germany I have never met anyone who wears their shoes inside their house. We are usually on socks or barefoot. The only shoes many wear are so called house shoes, but never sneakers or something similar. This always surprised me when seeing people in US movies and shows wear their outside...- Supa
