Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?
NOTABLE! MINDSETIt's probably all those videos online of Australians having huge Huntsman spiders in their homes. Mind you, I'm from Germany where we don't really have big spiders - no tarantulas, black widows, huntsmen, and so on. It's simply not the climate for them. So for me, everything bigger than, let's...- Supa

Are you using AI yet? (Poll + Steps to get started & up to speed?)
HOT! FEEDBACKAI can be an incredible help, and it has helped me a lot in coding. But I was never a fan of just telling the AI what you want and having it do it for you. Vibe coding in other words. The way I see it is that one should have at least some knowledge of coding and than ask an AI (preferably...- Supa

Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?
NOTABLE! MINDSETYeah that‘s true. I‘m in Bavaria and just around an 1 hour drive away from the Alps and a 2 hour drive from Austria and Switzerland (the regions close to Germany). All three countries are so close together that they are pretty similar in many ways, but each with their unique features of course.- Supa

Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?
NOTABLE! MINDSETYeah, but the weather is pretty much the same as here, so I can just stay here lol weather would be one of the biggest factors for me if I ever were to move to another country. If it wasn't for the weather, the Scandinavian countries would be interesting as well. Ok this gave me hope to maybe...- Supa

Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?
NOTABLE! MINDSETAustralia is one of my dream places that I‘d love to one day visit or even live there - except for the spiders lol would need some way to deal with arachnophobia before going there. Though I heard New Zealand has no big spiders and is a beautiful country as well.- Supa

Work Life Balance - The mind of an unhappy slave
GOLD! HOT! MINDSETYes, absolutely agree! That's where another concept from nature could be considered: Equilibrium. Whenever something goes heavily to one side or the other, the system brings it back down/up to equilibrium - to balance. Take for example jump roping. While you jump rope your heart rate goes up - a...- Supa

Work Life Balance - The mind of an unhappy slave
GOLD! HOT! MINDSETPure gold :gold: thanks for posting! That whole comparison between the real on/off type of balance and the half/half type of balance is genius and gave me lots to think about. Appreciate that! A job that enables a great work-life balance is probably the best outcome of the Slowlane. Especially...- Supa

A New Path to the Fastlane - App Development
EXECUTIONFirst update in 2026 Well, technically not, since as mentioned I regularly post little updates in the Weekly Progress thread, but it's the first update in 2026 in here. I thought, as there are currently no big updates to post in here, as I'm working on coding the app, and the smaller updates...- Supa

Weekly Progress: What will you get done this week?
GOLD! HOT! CHATMade great progress with the week view and am really happy with how it looks, feels and works already! I try to listen to the advice from the man who taught me coding - Paul Hudson from Hacking With Swift - to break a big step down into tiny steps and work through them. The current step is the...- Supa

Are you using AI yet? (Poll + Steps to get started & up to speed?)
HOT! FEEDBACKUse it a lot to help with coding, and it‘s phenomenal at that, especially Claude. But I‘m not talking about vibe coding or having AI do most of the work and me just copy pasting its code. I use it more like a personalized teacher. When I learned coding just about 1.5 years ago, I did so with a...- Supa
