An Excel Course?
HOT! EXECUTIONJust saw this thread bump up today and figured I'd throw in my 2 cents for @Andy Black 1 - i think this is definitely something you could sell 2 - i think its a better idea to target excel rather than google sheets since many of the larger companies I've worked with or listened to others talk...- OverByte

Invented Product: Testing Market w/ Amazon Product Listing and Facebook Ads
HOT!Re: website vs amazon. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Pros to amazon are that the platform is provided for you and it provides a ready to go infrastructure along with access to a market, PPC abilities and probably most importantly TRUST. People will buy things on amazon from unknown...- OverByte

Invented Product: Testing Market w/ Amazon Product Listing and Facebook Ads
HOT!What's the product price point? Higher priced products will typically have longer cycles and benefit heavily from retargeting. Also, I'd like to caveat my initial post and say that I did not realize you were running the fb ads to amazon vs your own site, as @maverick pointed out your...- OverByte

Invented Product: Testing Market w/ Amazon Product Listing and Facebook Ads
HOT!Why wouldn't you want to bring people directly to product page if you have a product that is ready to ship? Do you want emails or do you want sales? I suggest running Facebook ads for conversion objective and have them run direct to your product page. You don't need a video for this to get...- OverByte

Standing desks... Recommend?
MINDSETI purchased my desk from autonomous.ai and couldn't be happier with it. They sell full desks and also just the frames so you can put your own top on it. Best feature is the memory setting and it goes up and down super fast (~3 seconds to go from seated to standing no effort just press 1...- OverByte

Looking for side hustlers in mobile dev (Flutter) ready to commit to a 10-week program
SIDE HUSTLEWill give this thread a bump as I think it's a great opportunity for people looking to get experience with development to do it in a focused group like this with some members with entrepreneurial mindset. If someone lurking here is an aspiring app dev with little to no experience then reach out...- OverByte

Looking for side hustlers in mobile dev (Flutter) ready to commit to a 10-week program
SIDE HUSTLE@Echni I think it's great you're putting together a peer group to learn coding. Some feedback (from one of those experienced developers you speak of) 1 - I built one app with Flutter at a previous job, we actually did it as a volunteer job for a charity (build them an app), I believe they...- OverByte

Graphically.io - Unlimited Graphic design for a flat monthly price - Logos,Videos,Banners and more!
MARKETPLACE@MightyOwl - How long does it takes for turn around on each design submission? How long does it take for change requests? Couldn't find this info on the site. I'm interested in the idea but only if there are SLAs, I don't want to wait weeks for designs.- OverByte

The Only 3 Beliefs Holding You Back Right Now
GOLD! HOT! MINDSETGreat post @Kung Fu Steve This is timely, I recently got out of a relationship and am dating again, hearing a lot of "I used to be in better shape, gained weight during covid.." - No you gained weight because you have bad habits and don't believe your body is a priceless gift. How is it like to be a computer scientist in the slowlane?
SLOWLANEFor what it's worth I didn't even have the pre-reqs (high school advanced math/pre-cal) to get in, the only reason I got in was because I actually started in a BA (didn't check math pre-reqs) and then switched into CS. I took calculus and just learned as I went. It was actually very motivating...- OverByte

Home Gym ??
HEALTHHighly, highly recommend Ironmasters for anyone looking for adjustable dumbbells. They are pricey but the rolls-royce of adjustable dumbbells, stability of ring locks but with a quick change mechanism. I find powerblocks shakey (and a bit awkward). The ironmasters go up to 120 lbs per dumbbell...- OverByte

How is it like to be a computer scientist in the slowlane?
SLOWLANEChange is always scary, but important to consider the opportunity cost of staying the present course. I don't know the right answer for you based on your circumstances (ie how long a switch would set you back), but if I was in going to school and choosing a degree right now I would definitely...- OverByte

Political correctness and it's consequences for entrepreneurs

How is it like to be a computer scientist in the slowlane?
SLOWLANEI graduated computer science and worked in tech for 11 years, primarily with 2 large companies. Image recognition app. AI-based skin care diagnostic imaging.
I do think this is a good idea and as @openwater shared some competition its obvious this could do well. Based on your comment of having no programming knowledge, you should know that this would certainly not be a trivial app to build. Even if you could find a model you could use to identify...- OverByte

Starting an eCommerce Competitive Intelligence Site
EXECUTIONAnother idea is to do exactly what the lady said, start your own e-commerce business and figure out the pain points. That is actually why I got into e-commerce (as a developer), in addition to growing the e-com business I'm also dog-fooding my own software which I plan to productize. As a bonus...- OverByte
