First month as a Christmas temp.

    OFF-TOPIC
Ok, so I had a business idea about a fortnight ago, it's something thats been done in some places around the world, but as far as I can tell no-one is doing it in the UK... yet. In my head i'm thinking "Maybe theres a reason why?" But I don't see it. I have an appointment with a local business...

First month as a Christmas temp.

    OFF-TOPIC
This thread will probably end in one of two ways, both badly. Been working in customer service at one of the countries biggest retailers. Week 2 "How come you haven't been clocking on?" "I haven't been told anything, nor do you have my bank details." (despite my bitching last week) "Yeah, you...

.CO domains now available - is it better than .com?

    WEB/DIGITAL
I hope so, if not no big loss. The .com version seems shady, the registrar goes to 'contactprivacy.com' Which looks home-made. Google Insight shows nothing as well.

.CO domains now available - is it better than .com?

    WEB/DIGITAL
I'm slightly confused, i was randomly searching for 'random word'.com names. I found a 'non-trademark generic confectionary name'.com, and it's just a parked site, yet it's nearly number 3000 on Alexa... not sure why it's soo high? It also appears to have hidden it's traffic data to certain...

    The Snuggie Sutra

Saw this on that new 'pornless Playboy site'. Linky Maybe it's just me, but I have a feeling loads of people will buy this. I also like the idea... not of actually owning the book, but the people that created it coming up with the book. Such an 'easy' business to start.

    Random idea thread.

    IDEA
Time for a ramble... Those 3-wheel mobile coffee shops. Pros... They can be driven by people under 18, the benefits of which are... £3.57 per hour for all workers under the age of 18. For reference £4.83 18 to 20, £5.80 22+. Might seem 'child-labourish' but running costs are reduced...

I don't know about America, but this one exists for UK roads. They used to charge, but now they're free. Link

Shark Tank [American Version of Dragon's Den]

    HOT!
I liked the point about Mr Tods pies. If 90% of your commercial sales is 1 type of pie, why bother with the 29 other types of pie?

It's too early to tell, but I guarantee every episode has a sob story.

Shark Tank [American Version of Dragon's Den]

    HOT!
Just watched this and I didn't like it. I know our version isn't the original, but it's the most successful version. Why does America always turn it into a sob story? p.s. I did like the fact that people were asking for millions of $ though.
