Pouring money down the Google Ads drain

    HOT! MARKETING
I just got another lead. I now have a couple people asking about pricing. I always give the price upfront and right now offering a flat rate for interior car cleaning. That is my current "loss leader" I am testing before upselling other services. It seems that the initial interest wears off...

Pouring money down the Google Ads drain

    HOT! MARKETING
Andy Black's shortest Google Ad tutorial is how I got started. I wouldn't know how to use Google Ads without it as it's a mess to work through. And the earliest I'll be able to start is Tuesday due to the day job (lasts a day with overtime). I may be bold and call off work a few days if the...

Pouring money down the Google Ads drain

    HOT! MARKETING
Ran into a roadblock. Upon creating an ad, Google flagged and paused the campaign for malicious software. So will have to work on getting around that after work. During the downtime, I'll keep posting on Nextdoor, where I get at least 500 views on average with each post.

Pouring money down the Google Ads drain

    HOT! MARKETING
Hi everyone, I am currently working on a new business idea that is a local service. I've gotten some leads that I am tracking and will followup with soon, but not really making any sales yet. I've just started a couple days ago posting on social media during my off days and need more consistent...

I think I found a job in hell

    HOT! MINDSET
I'm going to stop checking on the forum. Not because of the response, but because I've found out what I need to do and how to go about it. I've been thinking last night about what's available to me and thought of a way to immediately get in front of the people I need today. I don't know if it...

I think I found a job in hell

    HOT! MINDSET
I focused on web design. So marketing for the most part to get more people. I have a small tech background so I built every site or landing page from scratch and included analytics and at times ad campaigns and copywriting. I'm not an ads guy or copywriter however.

That's where I got the username. This is what got me to post. I've been eager to get things started. I was supposed to be able to access the CRM and start sales training nearly a week ago. I follow up and get shut down so I'm just sitting around making a poor use of time. I know it's common...

I think I found a job in hell

    HOT! MINDSET
I'll probably keep it pushing for a while to get the experience and save a bit to startup. I'm thinking mobile car repairs as I've got some experience in the auto industry. Once I build a decent customer base again in the day job, I'll start marketing in my network and start taking a few jobs...

I think I found a job in hell

I am not able to make commission yet. I can't make commission for quite a while. That's just how it goes as they want to train you for 1-2 months before you start prospecting/taking deals. So yeah that's well and good once you're able to.

Yeah. It's just hard to afford everything right now but it can make for a good place to build honestly.

My bad to the bald men out there nothing wrong with that. My manager was taking digs at me so had to call him out.

I haven't fully understood posts you've linked yet as I've got to think about it, but yeah that perception on "The answer to "I HATE my job"" was the reason I went for a low-paying job in the first place. To learn the systems, be able to help different people with their problems, and learn...

That "DO" part is the problem. I sold cars, small stuff, serviced cars, lawns, web design, ads, but none of it is consistent or sustainable without leads. So I'm in a position where I'm not making enough money to run ads and constrained to the day job during the week. Really the only thing I see...

Assets are one thing, but I need a lot of money to make them worth investing in. I'll put some aside for stocks but my main focus is to get off the hour/salary/base pay to invest hard. Yeah I've done the whole freelancing thing before and have an account on Upwork for contracting. It's been...

Chicago Not sure I haven't thought about it. I wake up thinking I need more consistent sales outside of the workplace and to reach more people. I'm stuck at my day job most days so limited to calling/social media/running ads. I don't. I've been using FB and Nextdoor for leads. Would you...

Listening to garbage music over the intercom for 10 hour shifts several days a week being paid less than state minimum wage. In a sales job but can't make commission yet due to sloppy management and extremely slow onboarding. There's so much downtime I may just walk out the door. Managers say...
