Whatever shared idea you had, leave it for him. Get a new idea that is all yours. Partners are bad. Business with family is bad.

    My Fast Lane Road!

    EXECUTION
Due diligence. Here is what I would do. Check their website. Does it have a Page Rank from Google, is it indexed? How old is site? Is there a street address on that site? If so, google it. Use google street view to look at address. Is it a commercial building, a home, something else? Phone...

Do we all go through this?

    MINDSET
I have been like that for a while. Too many ideas. Start one, decide it is not a home run, then stop. After reading something on MJ's blog, I am now sticking with one project till it is done. As I work on this project, I see it it is not home run. That's OK. It will provide non-trivial passive...

Testing the Market for a Web App

    WEB/DIGITAL
Test for sales. Setup an AdWords account and pay for some clicks. It is fairly easy to find a $50 or $100 AdWords coupon. Even if you pay $100, it is still a good test.

How much is your "dream" job worth?

Hard to say without all the details. Can you indicate to them in the beginning that in the future you may want a less active role? Get things started and get the processes in place so that you can spend time on other opportunities?

    HOT!
I looked at your first post where you said 42 was too old. I am 41 and just getting (re)started. I felt like that was a challenge! Suggestion - focus on one type of recyclable that you already have a buyer for. Looks like you made some money off pallets. Continue that. Become the "pallet guy".

Good advise. The nicotine (physical) withdrawal usual ceases within a week (source). After that it is all mental. I quit over 10 yrs ago. It was hard but smoking was harder. It was a lot of working finding a place to smoke for me. Difficult to smoke at work, couldn't smoke while commuting...

    Lawn maintenance company massive expansion

    HOT!
What area of the US? I am in Los Angeles. The landscaping biz is dominated by small operations (1 or 2 men in a pickup). I always thought there was opportunity here. Look at the big players with big commercial accounts. What do they do? One that I am familiar with is Valleycrest. I worked for...

Anyone ever feel "Out of It" ?

    OFF-TOPIC
I can totally relate. When this happens to me, I moderate the caffeine, stop all alcohol, eat some well balanced meals, and get 8-10 hours of sleep. Usually clears me up.

    Why be rich?

    HOT!
Freedom is the answer for me. Freedom from the cube farm. Freedom from 1 hour commutes. Freedom to help people. Freedom to travel. Freedom to do anything. Freedom to do nothing. "Freedom is a road seldom traveled by the multitude."
