    Please criticize my plan

Only you really know the full picture. I'm just commenting based on a single post. I just tend to lean more towards testing concepts quickly and cheaply rather than throwing a lot of time and effort into something that was doomed to fail from the start. My theory is if you can't make sales...

    When To Leave The 9-5

You're never supposed to leave ;) There's no right or wrong time to go. What's right for a single guy in his 20's with no responsibilities might be wrong for a 40-something with a family, kids, and a mortgage. But I will say this... A "plan" and a "roadmap" don't put food on the table...

    Please criticize my plan

I would go from #2 to #8b and skip everything in between. Get your samples and see if you can sell them via social media. If you can't do that then all the time/cost/effort of all the other steps was for nothing.

Jason's How to Build Wealth & Golden Nuggets

    GOLD! MINDSET
LTV is about the lifetime value. Not just the initial transaction. A few examples... An accountant might make (on average) $2500 per client per year, and keep them for 3 years. His CLTV is $7500. But the initial transaction may have been a $50 tax prep. An info product business might have a...

So you want to get into affiliate marketing...

    GOLD! MARKETING
I've used affiliate products to test a market/funnel before rolling out my own info product. If you can break even selling an affiliate product with paid traffic then you can usually make a nice profit when you switch in your own product, assuming your copy is on par with the affiliate product...

$500,000 kick starter in two days… Sense Sleep System

Digging around you can see why this got so big so quick. ($853k at time of writing.) Sure the product is cool, but more interestingly... Mentored by a billionaire. Started by a guy who already created a successful business. Had 6-figures to invest in this new business from sale of first...

Question for MJ (and anyone else running an info biz)

Info product businesses where you are the guru and people are buying YOU can be a little tricky to sell. But with some planning and strategy it's not that hard... you just might not get as big a multiple as with some other business models. The big example that comes to mind is Dan Kennedy's...

Which marketing strategy works best for start ups

    MARKETING
Yup I've seen the "I just did your neighbours lawn" door hanging tactic go from getting 1/10 to 1/2 response just by knocking on the door and talking to people rather than leaving it at the door. Combine this with the strategy I talked about above and you can get an entire neighbourhood on your...

Do the first thing first. Come back when you've done that and have it cranking then we can talk about the next thing. Sent from my iPhone using magic.

Getting lost in travel... from your desk.

    OFF-TOPIC
There are quite a few people doing this already and a bunch of regulations to be aware of. e.g. http://www.inman.com/2014/06/25/faa-says-realtors-who-fly-drones-to-shoot-listing-photos-are-not-hobbyists/...

Which marketing strategy works best for start ups

    MARKETING
When you offer something free people think "what's the catch" and you've got to work hard to sell them. When you give them a big discount with a good reason why they tend to jump on it without much thought.

Which marketing strategy works best for start ups

    MARKETING
The best marketing strategy is to get a client. Go to someone you know and offer to clean for $10. Do an amazing job. Give them a coupon for a $20 cleaning. Do another great job. Give them a coupon for a $30 cleaning and a free window wash or whatever. Now you have them as a client. Get...

Need Advice: Manufactured product as first business venture?

Well you've listed about a hundred negatives and only one positive being "demand". No money. No experience. No product knowledge. Three young guys in partnership. I think you know which way to go.

Gary Halbert 30 day challenge Copywriting Group

    HOT! MARKETING
You bet. I got paid $4,000 for the first salesletter I wrote for a client. A decent copywriter who knows how to sell himself can make low 6-figures relatively easily... world class copywriters can make a million a month in royalties... but it's a LOT of work and not a fastlane business...

Stripe steps up PayPal rivalry with Australian launch

    OFF-TOPIC
I'm using both. Paypal forever and stripe since the beta launch. I plugged stripe in and it worked. Haven't had any issues or need for anything so time will tell if/when issues arise. Sent from my iPhone using magic.

    Freelance Copywriting

    EXECUTION
Why are you learning to write copy? To freelance? If so, what market? Your own business? If so, what market? Find a good product in the market with a poor (or non-existent) salesletter and get cracking. But frankly at this stage I wouldn't worry too much about picking the perfect product...

Learning to Program is STUPID! (or SMART?!)

    GOLD! HOT!
Solving those challenges is your process. I won't spoon feed it to you... but the short answer is do the opposite. "Tell the world about it by advertising for a developer." --> Don't tell the world about it but choose a small number of highly rated developers to bid on the job privately...

Learning to Program is STUPID! (or SMART?!)

    GOLD! HOT!
They are merely challenges. Some more legitimate than others. All of which can be solved. You can sit on a forum and come up with a hundred reasons anything won't work ;)
