    The Oxford Club

I only have a hard copy I got with the AWAI copywriting course many years ago. AWAI is another Agora subsidiary ;) You might be able to find a copy online somewhere. I've never looked.

    The Oxford Club

The letter that started the Oxford Club is pretty legendary in the direct response world. Agora do something like 300 million a year, give or take a few hundred million. You'll learn a lot more from what they do than what they say in the Oxford Club ;)

    New Word Processor I'm Using

    PUBLISHING
I use Scrivener and it does all this (and more) as well. Has a full screen composition mode that blacks out everything else. You can set document and/or daily word count targets. Absolute beast of a program used by a lot of authors and screenwriters. Costs $45 but well worth it if you do a...

Should you ever pursue more than one idea?

    IDEA
Assuming it takes 4 dashes of effort to get a project profitable, then... 1 idea: - - - - You are profitable after the minimum 4 dashes. 2 ideas: ---- --- It takes you 7 dashes before your first project is profitable. 3 ideas: ---- --- --- It now takes 10 dashes to get the first idea...

Should I launch PDF Ebook or an online course?

    PUBLISHING
The format isn't really all that important... it's all about how you position it. If you can sell the market on why a course is better than a book then go for it.

Gary Halbert 30 day challenge Copywriting Group

    HOT! MARKETING
I own all of the books in hardcopy. There's something funny about people trying to learn how to sell from a book about selling that they stole.

Can anybody recommend a good company to help us automate our emails?

I use Aweber and Ontraport. Aweber is great for getting started with. Dirt cheap, good deliverability, and very easy to use. Ontraport is a beast and can automate a whole lot more than just email. But it's 15x the cost of Aweber and has a much bigger learning curve.

My EMBARRASSING copy from 2 years ago...redone today...

    MARKETING
Are these cold emails? If so the major issue with both is you're trying to go from "I've never met you before" to "let's get married". In fact I would avoid any kind of selling in your first contact. One because it's difficult to differentiate yourself from all the other spammers (you are a...

    Why You Shouldn't Self Promote

    EXECUTION
Yeah the "subscribe" shit is getting pretty tiring already. Provide some value here first.

Investing in an Office- Yay or Nay?

    EXECUTION
Personally I would work on your mindset issues and get a few clients before adding extra outgoings into the equation. The "I'll automatically work harder" thing sounds good in theory but often working harder isn't the answer ;)

8 Eyewear: From Idea, to Launch, to Growth (And Quitting the Job)

    IDEA
AWESOME thread. Should be required reading. So many progress threads start off with a boom and then silence at the first sign of a hurdle. This is the perfect example of execution, process, and perseverance over mere ideas. I bet a dozen people who read the first post though "damn I had an...

    Split Testing Pricing Models

    MARKETING
You might simply be able to give them the choice. Show the benefits of each and let them choose which option works for them. Then track data and see which model produces a higher lifetime value and decide if you want to continue offering both or whether it's better to stick to one or the other.
