Is there an ObjC IDE for windows?

    WEB/DIGITAL
I recently decided to release my app first on iOS instead of Android, which was my original intent. Now I'm trying to figure out the best way to get a solid IDE for my dev work. I've been searching around online and it seems like there are a few open source options, like GNUStep and KDevelop...

    Sitting 5 hours = Smoking 24 cigarettes

    HEALTH
Well first let's define "lots of cardio". What I mean when I say this, is doing something like running 5+ miles a day every week. Mostly it is bad because it breaks down your muscle when you do it that long (consider distance and endurance runners. They are very thing and don't have much muscle...

    Sitting 5 hours = Smoking 24 cigarettes

    HEALTH
-Aspirin is a blood thinner... so it fights cancer by reducing the number of cells in your body that could possibly start maliciously reproducing... If anything it SLOWS cancer, and at the cost of the rest of your body. -I actually agree with this, but probably not the way he meant it. Exercise...

Please help me save my dad´s business!

I'm going to second what healthstatus said: I think it is very important that you find some recurring revenue, and that you also market to people with big pockets. I have been to a few of the tinting places around where I grew up and most of them are just marketing to the high schooler that...

Unity's Mobile Licenses are now free!

    WEB/DIGITAL
You had me thinking a lot about that $400 though. I've been fairly liberal with money in the last few weeks to pay back people that were generous to me while I was unemployed. Taking them out to nice dinners and such (my mom for mother's day, not a cheap meal at all). I considered if I hadn't...

The 3 Most Important Parts of my Day

The only redeeming part of working a slowlane job: getting paid to shit :) Some may, but I come on here while I'm at work, since a lot of my testing job is just waiting for events to occur, and at home I'm working right now. Compiling as we speak :)

Unity's Mobile Licenses are now free!

    WEB/DIGITAL
I'm actually in Seattle so go figure. The problem is that I don't know as that I'll make $50,000. I'm hoping I will but there is no guarantee.

Unity's Mobile Licenses are now free!

    WEB/DIGITAL
So what you're saying is give up on my app development because I can't afford to pay $400 for a license to a full development suite? That sounds like quitting.

Developing for iOS first as a marketing strategy?

    MARKETING
Good point to consider. The original idea was to target all travelers, not just business people. I might not go up to $10 but maybe find a middle ground at $5? The problem here is that there are a couple of competitor apps in both stores that are either free or .99. Now, the value that I am...

Unity's Mobile Licenses are now free!

    WEB/DIGITAL
Here is the relevant article: Gamasutra - News - Unity's mobile licenses are now free I don't know much about Unity, but from the overview in the article it seems to be a publishing platform that allows indie and small company devs get their apps out for multiple platforms (kind of like Corona...

The 3 Most Important Parts of my Day

Bus ride to my slowlane job Toilet time at work Bus ride home Why? Because I use the time in each one of these situations to read books on entrepreneurship, fastlane, business, and app development instead of blankly staring out the window or playing angry birds like I used to. One of MJ's...

Developing for iOS first as a marketing strategy?

    MARKETING
Some people may use it that often, though it's more of an emergency sort of app, which will necessitate charging for it. I think that's the only way I can see it making any money. I don't think it would be used every day except for maybe professionals who travel around the world.

Developing for iOS first as a marketing strategy?

    MARKETING
It's a location mapping app that accesses a database. I've been looking at the Corona SDK as a possible way to release to all platforms with the same code base, but I don't know much about it and I don't want to pay for until I get some opinions from people that have used it.
