Bitcoin / Cryptocurrency Discussion (And Predictions)
HOT! CRYPTO CHAT"What is Money" is a fascinating topic that most people don't really understand. Including the people in charge of our monetary system. I prefer to think about how it should work, and the signs to look for of it not working well. At the end of the day, money is just a universal notation of...- The Sandman

I quit my job and bought a shoe store
EXECUTIONHello! Thank you for taking the time to make such a thorough reply with great questions and comments! As I said, I've seen some significant progress to the point where I have time to do other things, but not as much as I'd hoped for. I mean an eye for just basic hour-to-hour, day-to-day stuff...- The Sandman

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATI said no such thing. I said that I do not think he was trying to do a nazi salute, he was trying to gesture "my heart goes out to you." It came out looking a whole lot like like a nazi salute, but intent matters. Why would he be making that salute in this situation? Do you think he was calling...- The Sandman

He even said "My heart goes out to you" at the time, which is obviously what he was trying (rather ineffectively) to communicate with that...- The Sandman

HOT! CHATTo be fair, people who have immigrated to the US are a small subset of the overall population and not likely a representative sample. Plus, immigrants tend to face significant employment hurdles. Having limited job opportunities pushes motivated people into entrepreneurship.- The Sandman

HOT! CHATThe most secure airline is El Al. Because they have to be. They realized long ago that there are unlimited ways for determined people to attack public airlines. But the number of people inclined to perpetrate those actions is quite limited, so they decided to focus on spotting those...- The Sandman

HOT! CHATThe problem isn't the low-level employees, it's the entire system. Crap government making crap rules, of course their employees do crappy things. We need to clean house before it's too late.- The Sandman

Starting 2 hobby-related businesses
EXECUTIONBusiness B: Off road utility and camping trailers This is a manufacturing startup Problem: Offroad trailers offerings are very expensive and focus on the very-high-end of the market, and tend to be dedicated RVs with limited day-to-day utility. Starting 2 hobby-related businesses
EXECUTIONBusiness A: Adhesive beadlocks. This is a product development and marketing startup. Problem: Offroad performance is greatly improved by lowering tire pressure, but lowering tire pressure increases the risk of a tire coming off the wheel when you're up a mountain in the middle of the night and...- The Sandman

Starting 2 hobby-related businesses
EXECUTIONNow that I'm able to spend a little time away from my 1st business (EXECUTION - I quit my job and bought a shoe store) I'm starting 2 more. They're both related to my offroading hobby. Both are unproven with questionable viability, so I'm approaching them with a focus on risk-mitigation and a...- The Sandman
