    Dropping out of college

    HOT!
FastLearner. Do you have a job to support yourself post college? Are your parents paying your rent/living expenses? Are you anticipating future funding from parents? How hard would it be to find a job, pay for you living expenses, and also give you enough time and funds to pursue your fastlane...

    Billionaire Partner

    PEOPLE
The only person I would partner up with is the friends dad. Not your friend himself. As you already mentioned, your friend may have a different mindset for what the business would mean to him than you would have yourself. Someone trying to please dad won't have the fire in his belly that you...

Amazon cracking down on erotica ebooks.

    PUBLISHING
Rawr. I have to disagree with this. I think now is the perfect time for someone to take a piece out of Amazon. I used to work in management at Walmart back when Walmart was an 800 lb gorilla. Walmart is still powerful, but in the early to mid 2000's people thought that Walmart would wipe out...

Your opinion is needed! Which one to hire?

    PEOPLE
Joshi. If you are planning on doing a string of videos and building a brand for yourself, do your own videos. It won't sound right if you make a series of ten videos and each one has a different voice, some German, some British, some Filipino. What if you hire a good voice actor and then he...

[AMA] $25m+ in affiliate mktg revenue & exiting the game: Ask me anything.

    WEB/DIGITAL
Apax999. It seems to me that even though affiliate marketing can be tiresome and wear you out, learning how to do it prepares you for success in other fields like nothing else. Learning how to drive traffic and efficiently convert it is usefull no matter what you do. Do you agree with this...

    The Beginning of the End...

I asked a friend who has a forum which software he would use. He said that he used VBulletin and had similar problems, so he migrated to XenForo. He likes it a lot as it is easily customizable, fast, and not expensive. He said he also likes Invision Power Board for the same reasons. He used a...

Hello from Denver - self publishing success

I saw this post about pricing for ebooks and thought some here could benefit from it. http://gigaom.com/2013/09/23/dont-price-your-ebook-at-1-99/

Fck the bllsht - let's make a difference that really counts!

    EXECUTION
What happens if you get funding, build up the business, and then the government cuts your program? You would go bankrupt. You lose too much control trying to get the Feds to fund your business.

    San Diego Meet Up

    MEETUPS
Hey Jon. As far as the timing of the next meeting goes, I will hang back and listen to what some of the other members want to do. This is the busy season for a lot of people and there are a lot of holidays to schedule around. Personally, I don't want to go to another meetup until I have an...

    Private: Women only

I don't think this is about political correctness nor is it about trying to give women more of an advantage over men on the road to the fastlane. If you read a lot of the older threads, there were some great female posters that contributed a lot here. I'm not sure what happened to them, there...

    2013 Beer & Pancakes

    MEETUPS
RealOG. This will be the first B&P I attend. There is no maybe or I will try to make it. Once a date is chosen I will be there. But what is the process like for getting the tickets? Will this be like a Beatles concert where the tickets will sell out in 3.14 seconds? If this event is limited...

How many women are on the fastlane forum

    HOT! PEOPLE
Cashflowdepot. I too value your posts and hope you stick around. I've never done any mobile home investing but I did read through your responses on that thread here on the forum. There was a lot of gold in that thread. If I remember correctly people who never even invested in mobile homes wanted...

Have access to unused warehouse/office space. How do I maximize this asset?

WT. Place some Craigslist ads in other cities advertising the space. You can use a fake warehouse with fake pics if you like and try to solicit offers with very cheap rent. Run this ad in a variety of different locations. This should give you some leads to go off of, and point you in a...

Well researched article on setting/determining Pricing

TedM. I have a few thoughts. I think right off the bat you need different pictures for each membership level to create more of an identity. maybe you shouldnt use standard as a category. Kind of like how Starbucks doesn't use a small size, their smallest size cup is called tall. So you could...

    NOTABLE!
Jon. I appreciate you voicing your opinion. But I did not intend to coax a response from you here on this forum. I think everyone has stated their opinion and that is good enough for me because people here can make up their own minds. What I said in the above post is pretty much what I believe...

Forgot to mention this in case anyone is reading this before entering. There is no hostess to ask for the fastlane group. Just look for Jon. The guy with the mustache and we will find each other.

    NOTABLE!
MJ. Im not sure its that simple. What I learned from reading gregh's posts (and I don't want to put words in his mouth here) is that the Foundations pitch is that anyone can start their own SaaS business. No experience? No money? No ideas? The Foundation will help you overcome this. From...

    NOTABLE!
Gregh. I am confused here. Dane makes it seem in his AMA that refunds are both transparent and and a regular occurrence. What are your thoughts on this? We're you ever informed of the possibility of a refund before, during, or after the course? Do you know of other students who have gotten a...
