Is it worth it to become an Accountant?

    HOT!
Trep. People in my profession said the same thing about the baby boomers. They were all going to retire soon and that would pave the way to high salaries and bonuses. Two things happened. 1) The baby boomers did not retire. A lot of baby boomers are horrible with money. They based their...

    Business and Brewskies 2014

    MEETUPS
Libertyforme. I would be interested in this meetup, but I wonder if we should coordinate all the meet ups together as this one is very close to B&P. For instance, zend***phin had a meet up last year. Will he host another one too? We have had three meet ups so far in San Diego that went well. I...

    MEETUPS
I think the cash should be refunded and the ticket should go back the the organizers of the event, and then they can decide what to do with it. You never know if some people would just buy a ticket to later resell. We do have an entire forum full of entrepreneurs after all? :D

    MEETUPS
Richkid. The tickets were announced well ahead of time and everyone had the same opportunity to get the tickets. It's not like there was only a set time, it was first come first serve. I was there at the set time and I still couldn't get one, that's how fast they were going. Hopefully they will...

Dollar as the Reserve Currency - will it end?

    OFF-TOPIC
The Chinese/Japanese are buying treasuries to keep their own currency suppressed. This way Japan can keep Toyotas underpriced relative to other automakers, and China can do the same with everything else. China, to its credit, seems to understand that destroying your consumer market to benefit...

Dollar as the Reserve Currency - will it end?

    OFF-TOPIC
Yes, the best way to hedge yourself against the dollars collapse is by increasing your skill level so you can take advantage of the new world where the dollar is slipping in relative position. I think there are lots of people here that come from the Rich Dad Poor Dad school of thought where...

Dollar as the Reserve Currency - will it end?

    OFF-TOPIC
The dollar as a reserve currency is being propped up by Middle East oil being priced in dollars and Chinese/Japanese Mercantilism. This is why we can keep printing money without our economy collapsing and it is also why we are so involved in Middle Eastern affairs. Contrary to what we read in...

This is indeed the cost of doing business. Keep in mind that if you were to run a B&M operation you would have to account for an even higher amount of waste due to shoplifting.
