Yup. I use Wonderful Day on the iPhone. It's basically the Seinfeld method, for as many items as you want to track.

I just caught a new documentary about the singer-songwriter John Mayer, and he had this one quote that struck me. Thought I'd share:

    My Brainless Idea

    IDEA
I like it. Another product option along these lines would be a small 3d printed desk ornament tchotchke like this One other thing. I assume that you're pre-seeding the "number ordered" in order to show social proof? If so, change the numbers to 47 or 79 or something. 50 & 75 feel fake.

FBA and Importing Goods From China

    HOT! SOURCING
I was in the same situation, the only person selling the item. As @debitandcredit said, you may get the buy box eventually, but I didn't want to wait. Once I had them under FBA, I got the box immediately. As far as the quantity, I thought that was editable? I kinda remember starting my listing...

Don't make the same mistake I did when Googling your competition.

In the same vein, make sure that you turn off personalized search. Otherwise, you're seeing un-representative results. Like you'll see your own site on the front page, and assume that everyone else is seeing the same thing. Not that that's ever happened to me...

Cash Register POS Integration on Receipts

It's been a while, but I spent a long10 years doing IT with an 8000 unit quick-service restaurant chain. In our case, we primarily used systems running Aloha, but also dabbled in Micros, Radiant and a bespoke system as well. As far as integrating with them, it's pretty unlikely that you're...

8 Eyewear: From Idea, to Launch, to Growth (And Quitting the Job)

    IDEA
Hey Vick, Just so you have this for future reference, in case you do decide at some point to switch vendors: moving that mold isn't rocket science, but it's not trivial either. We have a 1-up injection mold for a similar-sized item, and you're looking at a couple of hunks of metal that are...

What price is considered an add-on item on amazon?

I ran a not-so-scientific test, and it seemed to be related to weight. Not sure if there were also confounding variables that I didn't know about, but when I set my product ($9.99) at 3 oz, it was an addon. At 14oz., it wasn't. Only problem was, when it was set to 14, every time I bought postage...

Using Controversy To Gain Attention (Honey Maid)

    MARKETING
Bottom line up front: Can you find some subject (maybe a hot-button political topic, or maybe a certain celebrity, or a sports team) where the following 2 things hold true? To a large degree, your customers & target market are strongly aligned and in agreement on the issue. There's a...

Favorite Life Hacks ~ What Are They?

    HEALTH
Yup, I tried it for a while. The effects were great, but I had a mental problem with it that I ultimately couldn't get around. I want coffee in the morning. Black, hot, diner coffee. So I wouldn't use the "c" word, I'd just try to psych myself up for my "warm smoothie". A lot of people love the...

Any LOW carbers around here? What kind of homemade snacks are you making?

Looks like you've gotten a bunch of suggestions already on specific snack items, so I won't add to those. Instead, I'd like to point you in two additional directions if you want to do more research. I follow a modified paleo routine myself, so don't think I'm hatin' on LC. I'm definitely not...

    New research on goal setting...

Interesting. It showed up today in a blog I follow, so I guess I just assumed it was new research. Good catch.

    New research on goal setting...

    MINDSET
Here's a link to some interesting new research on setting and attaining goals. It's a pretty dense read, but here's the short version: The researchers worked with 2 scenarios, dieting and sports performance. Dieting For the dieting experiment, they had one group set a goal of eating half of...

    BOOKS
Actually, for anyone into self-publishing, you really should do a deep dive on that author, Johnny B. Truant. I've kinda gotten away from it in the past year or so, but he has an awesome podcast on all things self-publishing. It's at http://selfpublishingpodcast.com One other thing. If you're...

An interesting(maybe?) way to fill gaps in markets

Agreed, but with a caveat. I think there's a mindset shift you need to make before it gets easy: When you're a subject matter expert in something, when you do it every day for a living, then it's easy to lose track of the difference between what you know and what a beginner knows. So you see...
