    Cash is king, keep it in cash. When that great property deal comes along you got the cash. If you Amazon sideline takes off and you need to go big then you got the 50k in the bank. Risking it for 5% annual gain (if your lucky) is terrible. You could lose 10% next week and it wont recover for years.

    It's very tough, nearly every product you look at has someone selling it at thin margins already on ebay. Keep looking! You have to add value by branding something as your own, I havent done it but I know its what I have to do to succeed

    Sounds like it wont be viable once you go legal, its more of a sideline business right? Many people like that here in uk in casual business that dont report their earning, I dont have a problem with it unless they are making a killing. Plenty of cash tradesmen also keep minimum of 20% of cash...

    Just start it asap, you dont have to reveal your niche if you dont want to. You are proud enough to publicly kill one idea so now you have to publicly start your new idea. We are all here to help, nobody is happy when someone fails although there are plenty of slowlaners who like to see people fall.

    Dont worry Roland, everybody fails! Sad to hear the prototype doesnt work as expected, it did sound incredibly complex. Glad your still optimistic and maybe one day this project will be a good story to tell your grandkids on how you failed before you found your real fastlane.

    You said it, Aliexpress is b2c. Full of middlemen selling goods to customers. Factories are not going to mess around selling individual items to customers.
