Zelse - Win points by getting out of the house!

    GOLD! EXECUTION
I've travelled quite a bit over the past few years. The business client benefits are clear: visibility. But what benefits are there for travellers? What's the point of collecting points? Will more points eventually lead to exclusive discoveries? Many apps exist where travellers can create...

    Top 5 Favorite Cars

    OFF-TOPIC
I drive an old Skoda now, but if I could pick any 5 with a near-unlimited budget, I'd try to maximize use cases. Daily - either Mercedes G-Class or S-Class (big engine E-Class would be fine too). Garage queen - Mercedes 190 Evo (the original one). Rally car - not too picky here, Evolution or...

Using Meta Ads for Web Design [Progress Threads]

    ASSERTION FEEDBACK WEB DESIGN
Exactly! Building a cheap website is so easy. Claude or free Webflow templates can create a site in minutes that, a few years ago, would be "worth" 4 figures.

Using Meta Ads for Web Design [Progress Threads]

    ASSERTION FEEDBACK WEB DESIGN
Spend that $280 on something more useful. You offer web design as a service, and your website looks like that? Couldn't you even get a nice free template? Have you seen at least 1 portfolio site from a web design freelancer or agency? I can't even give you good advice. Please ask ChatGPT what...

Dating Apps are F*cking Broken, I'm Thinking of a Possible Solution

    HOT! IDEA
The world doesn't need another dating app. If the current dating apps are not working for you, it can only mean 2 things: 1. It's not the right way to find dates for you. The wrong audience, the wrong process, etc. Go outside, talk to people in real life, meet potential partners through shared...

Did A Stable Career Kill My Entrepreneurial Drive?

    MINDSET
This is exactly it. If you're "cut out" to be an entrepreneur, you don't ask if it's worth it. It is the only way, and you'll make it work, adapt, overcome, sacrifice, etc. If you don't have that mentality, I honestly don't believe you can "create" it. And hey - nothing wrong with a high-paying...

Website Roasting - Post Your Website Here for Feedback / Ask Your Questions

    MARKETING
I'd either leverage past experiences and build around those. Or not even think about the website, but more about "How do I quickly get 5 real work examples?" I do marketing that includes dozens of different services, but I have a few examples of cold email outbound campaigns that had great...

Website Roasting - Post Your Website Here for Feedback / Ask Your Questions

    MARKETING
Design is okay, but this won't convert as it doesn't answer the most basic questions: 1. Who is it for? Small businesses are way too broad; an ecommerce store owner, a plumber, and a life coach all have unique needs. 2. What do you actually do? Automation is way too broad, too. Automate...

Trying to close the information gap for travel accommodation – looking for advice

    STORY
If you're often fully booked, you need to increase your prices. Not so much that it stays empty, but just slightly higher. It's just basic economics. Could you partner with other places and get a commission for every referral? Sure! But it would be far easier to increase your prices by...

Did A Stable Career Kill My Entrepreneurial Drive?

    MINDSET
If you are happy with your job and don't have the drive to pursue entrepreneurship, how about... don't? Building a successful business is hard (very hard, just look up the statistics of how many succeed). If you don't have the drive to do it against all odds and don't want to eat shit...

Your City, Your Destiny: How Your Environment Shapes Your Life Trajectory

    MINDSET
Just adding to this, I haven't been to 60, but about 30 countries, and Australia is my #1 too. I have also met Australians on both sides, some saying they want to leave (mostly due to living costs), but it's all relative. Costs are higher, but so is the income. Even if you're making the...

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread

    HOT! CHAT
Those AI apps solve the HOW, but not the WHAT and WHY. Most of sales and marketing is not technical at all. It's your communication ability, positioning of the offer, and targeted segmentation. Marketing is mostly thinking and talking; actual execution is just the end result. I'm a marketing...

    Dubai: what’s your opinion?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
Haven't been to Dubai, and I've promised myself to go at least once just so I'm qualified to say this - Dubai sucks. If we all believe in the Fastlane lifestyle, why is a place with no/low taxes so desirable? Just make more money and live in an actually nice place. What's actually good about it...

Curious: Who Here Has Crossed the $1M Mark in Liquid Assets?

    QUESTION
This. I don't understand why everyone's so nice. "I want to talk to liquid millionaires. I promise I am a liquid millionaire, too. Why wouldn't you trust a random AI avatar with less than 10 posts?" If you @untouchable actually shared insights from your journey of becoming a liquid...

Curious: Who Here Has Crossed the $1M Mark in Liquid Assets?

    QUESTION
You are not "at 1M+ liquid level," because if you were, you'd know how to make a post that actually resonates. Start by properly introducing yourself; no liquid millionaire will connect with someone who only claims to be a liquid millionaire. Post an introduction, share what you're building...

Has anyone been successful in third-world countries like Peru, Colombia, or Venezuela?

    MARKETING EXECUTION
I don't get you. Are you seriously asking why people from 1st world countries buy more things than people in 3rd world countries? Have you considered that people in Spain make more money, have an easier time covering their needs, and have more disposable income? If the average salary in X...

[Florida Lawn Care] What's a reasonable hourly rate for Lawn Techs?

    PEOPLE
A lawnmower doesn't cost that much. Also, if you ask them to bring their own, you'll have someone pull up with a loud junk mower that barely works. It's a cheap business to start; I don't get why this is even a concern. I guess you can consistently generate leads, which is where the value is...

How to find your TRUE niche?

    MINDSET
The website design/development and all digital service examples usually have the same problem. The providers think in terms of deliverables, not results. A website is just pixels on a screen. Copy is just letters arranged in a certain way. They're meaningless on their own. The real work is...

“Do you have a marketing book that is really good?

    MARKETING
It does not need marketing. No one needs to be "convinced" they need it; you either need it or don't, and if you do need it, you don't need to hear about its benefits. What your target audience actually cares about is: 1. Is this vendor legit? Am I going to receive my order? 2. Is this the...
