Popular Dual Dad Guru sounds very Unscripted to me

    MINDSET
I've seen so many people who attain some success or fame in one area automatically assuming that makes them an expert on anything else. Once someone gets a giant ego like that they become unbearable to listen to, even more so when they walk right into your own space to offer an uninformed...

    Fastlane Fantasy Football (2017-18!)

    MEETUPS
I'm busy doing predraft research. The same research that led me to take Andrew Luck first overall in 2015 and plan to go for Allen Robinson in the first round last year. Luckily some hero one pick ahead decided to jump on that grenade for me.

Looking forward to another year of battle!

    Rural areas vs. Urban

    MINDSET RANT
That size of market is suitably anonymous that someone could do a really bad job and still be in business if they're getting fresh customers in at a low enough cost. Not a great plan but possible to still exist. In a small town if they mess up really badly a few times then word gets around...

    Rural areas vs. Urban

    MINDSET RANT
Fair to say the more relaxed culture in most rural areas attracts people who aren't hyper focussed on maximising the profits in their business or taking much notice of deadlines. Since I live in a rural area but occasionally visit the cities, I've observed the following- My city...

    I've Read UNSCRIPTED!

    GOLD! HOT!
Finished and reviewed! Thanks for another excellent book, as well as the mental images of your beautiful, flowing long hair captivating everyone at the restaurant, your odd/psychopathic former friend's rat roasting and the knowledge that but for a rogue palm tree you may have edged out Vin...

    I've Read UNSCRIPTED!

    GOLD! HOT!
Just over halfway through but had to share one particular part that struck me- "For example, there’s a busy street corner near my gym that *looks* like a nice restaurant location, or so it seems. For years, this cursed corner killed so many restaurants it’d make Jason Voorhees’s hockey mask...

Does The Paradise Pack seem like a worthwhile investment?

After clicking the link in OP, for a minute there I thought you'd put together some generic guru page full of every cliché and buzzword in the space as an satirical example. But no it's apparently real.

The wealth "after party". What are your non-business hobbies and passions?

    HOT! MINDSET FTE
As the pic would suggest, betting dominates my interests as well as saving me from a 9-5. Horses specifically as I worked out a long time ago I'm no good at sports betting. I have to use fantasy football as a sad substitute for my lack of sports betting prowess. In terms of more relaxing...

    Twitter on the Deathwatch

    WEB/DIGITAL
I notice it's still chugging along, and I still use it because there really isn't a viable alterative for what I use it for yet. But they really do seem to be backing themselves into a corner much like ESPN, and at some point it's going to cost them just like ESPN's attitude finally is. Both...

The Fyre Festival Fraud; Get Rich Fast Providing Perceived Value, Over Actual Value

    HOT!
I didn't make it to last year's Fastlane Summit so if someone could do a comparison of that beautiful, photogenic cheese sandwich vs MJ's homemade ones it would be much appreciated...

Vigilante's Book "Vigilant Kids" Step by Step

    PUBLISHING
I was going to say that's pretty out there, then I remembered reading about the "Toni The Tampon" book for kids last week.

Vigilante's Book "Vigilant Kids" Step by Step

    PUBLISHING
I was thinking how it would be nice if a book like this made it's way into schools all over the place, unfortunately I then remembered the material they gave us on the topic at school was about as PC as possible in the 80s and 90s, and I'm not going out on a limb predicting that would only have...

    The "Remember When" Thread...

    OFF-TOPIC
I went past the water pistols at the store over summer, all sorts of weird looking quasi cannons with fancy names and extra tanks, but no Super Soaker 50s. Lightweight, reliable, ok it leaked a bit but how has technology gone backwards that much in 25 years?

Fashion Retailer Bebe Closing All Stores.

    HOT!
Basically the grocery store seems about the only B&M place I go to regularly. It wasn't like I planned it that way, but at some point I realised when I needed a new pillow I was ordering it from Amazon and a new shirt I was shopping from a store in Miami which is 8000 miles away from where I...

    2016-17 Fastlane Fantasy Football (Official)

    MEETUPS
Congrats on a fully deserved win! I can relate to the health stuff and the distraction it can provide in hospital/at doctor etc. Hopefully we'll see each other next season to continue the rivalry. Otherwise I'll send my ghost back to draft with strict instructions not to take Coby Fleener ever...

If you can go back in time, would you still go to college?

No. But at the time it seemed the best of what I thought were very limited options. Eventually you learn enough and realise your options aren't/weren't so limited.

He was useful for me in my other league too-good value for a pick around the 100 range. Much more so than the debacle that was first round pick Allen Robinson. I went WR first four picks and ended up with 4 guys I couldn't start in the playoffs due to injury or form.

    2016-17 Fastlane Fantasy Football (Official)

    MEETUPS
I believe the official term is "knee-jerk waiver wire hopscotching", according to MJ early in the season. Though my personal favourite comment of the season was still his reasoning for drafting Matthew Stafford which was sound and logical and topped off with..... " I couldn't resist -- that...

Then add in the fact he'd drafted a def in the 8th, a kicker in the 9th, two tight ends and then another kicker in the 15th... The waiver budget has been a nice addition this year, some interesting weekly blind bidding duels. In the league I'm managing I think we're going to have to move to...
