Making Money Online with Gambling
HOT!Echoing others here but for the vast majority of people it belongs in that "nice side interest" niche. The burnout rate is very high as our current/former poker pros have mentioned. The effort and intelligence you'd put in to be decently profitable long term in most markets from the consumer...- Veloce Grey

Fastlane NCAA Tourney Bracket, Win 1 Year Insider Subscription
OFF-TOPICIt's difficult enough managing American Football leagues from New Zealand between my horse racing/rugby/league/golf/cricket commitments, I think if I tried adding college basketball in I'd be in the nuthouse fairly quickly. Much as I'd love to beat you of course....- Veloce Grey

Random Chat, Thoughts, Posts, and/or Rants Thread
HOT! CHATJust to clarify, you're saying you'd happily have killed people for more money? Not violent criminals or the moral ambiguity of enemies in a war, but people suffering who go to their doctor wanting relief from their pain and get given far higher than recommended doses simply so an extremely...- Veloce Grey

Children's Book Publishing... WOW?!
HOT!I wanted to get my nephews (15/13, intelligent but generally bored at school) a copy of it or TMF, but having seen how conditioned they are to flick back and forward from media to media now I simply didn't think they'd read an actual non fiction book. A Tai Lopezesque youtube video perhaps...- Veloce Grey

Can't Hurt Me: by David Goggins, Review and Discussion
HOT!I feel like "More Accurate Titles For Books" could be a very long thread. I didn't actually buy the book after reading the Amazon reviews because it sounded mostly about his story and that sounded fairly masochistic, but the thread/vote was still valuable with Atomic Habits which I'd never...- Veloce Grey

When was the last time you...
OFF-TOPICThe last time I got drunk ... never, never had a serving of alcohol The last time I went to an NBA/NFL game... never been to any pro sports, prefer school/weekend ones for nephews. More relaxed, less advertising and no politics. The last time I shot a gun ... 2 years ago but if I were in the...- Veloce Grey

A Conversation about death...
HEALTHHonestly, if I don't die at some point I'm going to be so annoyed I'll probably drive my car off a cliff. And if anyone uploads me to a cloud they do so at their own bloody risk as I'll make that crazed Amazon robot of a few weeks back look like a pacifist.- Veloce Grey

NOTABLE!Yeah I agree no need to derail this one as there's already the other extensive thread on the topic anyway. I know it's something you think deeply about, so I sincerely hope for your sake that in 200 years I'm glancing down from Heaven and I see you still chugging along somehow.- Veloce Grey

My 600lb Life: Addiction, Enabling, More (RANT)
NOTABLE!I'm not "shooting down" your desire-if you want to live to 150-200 or 500/1000 whatever that's fine it's your business and maybe one day science will provide a way to live such a very long time with some decent quality of life. I'm just telling you that expectation vs reality for that isn't...- Veloce Grey

My 600lb Life: Addiction, Enabling, More (RANT)
NOTABLE!Whatever your thoughts on death, if you live long enough, eventually there will come a point where you're not quite so keen to keep on going. My parents lived long lives, especially my Dad who ate fairly healthily, but the fact is the mind simply has an expiry date too and in his case it meant...- Veloce Grey

Creating a fastlane gambling business
EXECUTIONIf you're honesty trying to build a system that can sustain a long term edge over the most highly informed soccer betting markets then you're trying something so difficult that I'd suggest the likely rewards from selling your services aren't worth the effort. Le'Veon Bell FU Money
RANTHave to agree with MJ, an RB at that age is truly in strike while the iron is hot territory. Show up and collect the $14 million, even if you have to pay some of it for injury insurance. After seeing your own name in headlines that often it's probably very hard to have an accurate picture of...- Veloce Grey
