Any Plans on a MFL Podcast?

There seem to be about a billion "interview an entrepreneur each week" podcasts out there already. Or a day if you include John Lee Dumas who will probably be reduced to interviewing random street hobos sometime soon. Given many of these interviewees go on a heap of podcasts and tell their own...

    Loneliness

    PEOPLE
It probably seems like everyone you know has a thousand facebook friends. But really how many of them could they rely on to take a call at 3am if they were seriously down about life? "Social Media" is good at making people look more happy and sociable to others than they really are. There's a...

What are your current maxes and routine?

    HEALTH
I think I'm going to be at the lower end here, currently sitting at 0 pull ups. I can do about 5 press ups before resembling a beached whale. In light of that it's probably best I don't try lifting 300lbs anytime soon.

    DicksByMail.com-How a guy went from 12 orders a week to 2000 orders a day in 14 days

    NOTABLE! EXECUTION
I have a file where I keep my top 20 business quotes for regular reading. I may need to expand it to top 21 now.

What was your biggest business and life lesson in 2014?

    GOLD! MINDSET
Take Action Back on September 10th I went to the (general) doctor about a mole that was concerning me. She examined it, considered it normal under the scope and said we'd keep an eye on it. I considered consulting a specialist but the clinic was a couple of hours drive away so I put it off...

Peter Thiel’s Zero To One : Book Notes

    BOOKS
On the off chance that Mr Wokeup is busy and doesn't want to spend his time writing book summaries on request, you could always explore one of the many sites that provide such a service rather cheaply. Or simply use a search and I'm sure you can get the gist of it fairly quickly. Failing...

    Make This Go Viral

    WEB/DIGITAL
That seems kind of a key line. You couldn't even pay them to review it. Is trivia about overseas political leaders really fertile ground for apps? I'm sure they can make memes, news stories and occasionally a movie if you get James Franco and Seth Rogen to front it, but it seems a little bit...

    HOT! SOURCING
I not hugely familiar with webinars so what interested me when I clicked on the link to see the signup page was the associated giveaways (GoPro etc). Not in the sense that I wanted a giveaway, but I was interested if that is a commonly used tactic in the webinar format, whether you've tested it...

    Gamblers - what's your game?

    OFF-TOPIC
I used to bet on NFL and rugby but decided I didn't really have any edge outside the occasional special event and the return didn't match the time invested. I can still find bets on niche NFL markets like "Rookie of the Year" or "most receiving yards" that are overs but the problem is often...

    Gamblers - what's your game?

    OFF-TOPIC
It's a little more complicated than that. In parimutuel/tote betting there is a significant takeout to fund the industry/admin expenses and Government tax. Some of the biggest betting markets like Hong Kong and Japan have very high takeouts, somewhere in the 18-25% range from memory (I don't...

    Gamblers - what's your game?

    OFF-TOPIC
Horses, as the pic indicates. Played the occasional poker freeroll for a few days a decade ago but never really got into it. It can be ok viewing on tv though. Visited one casino and found it a very depressing sight watching people sitting there blankly pushing buttons on a machine as they...

Fastlane Fantasy Football; 2014/15 - Gloating Thread

    MEETUPS
Thanks for running the league MJ :tiphat: You're like my third favourite J initial in this league after OBJ and CJ Anderson. Super close final came down to the last few drives on MNF. SarcastabaAllStars put together the number 1 team overall but the Alex Smith/Jay Cutler/Ryan Tannehill thing...

Every 25 Year Old Needs to See This Chart... (Uh, no...)

The comments section underneath that article/advert is incredibly depressing reading. It's amazing how well trained people are to think in such limited terms.

I'm thinking Teddy might also be kind of annoyed that sentence in the opening post appears to be about Franklin.

    MEETUPS
Interesting to see despite the 6 point passing TDs, of the 4 QBs taken in rounds 1-2, the teams with Luck, Rodgers and Brees all failed to make the playoffs and the team with Manning went out last week when he laid an egg.

    My GoFundMe.com Campaign

    HOT!
To be fair this is just an issue of a bad market fit. As a forum post it doesn't quite add up, but as a short summation of the worse aspects of youth culture in 2014 this pretty much nails it on every level. For an A+ it just needed a topless bathroom mirror selfie but I'm thinking if MJ...

    MEETUPS
We've had a very even league-nobody will end up more than 8-5 and the top three ranked teams all lost this week. The computer generated draft grades did ok with the three teams rated B+ or above making the playoffs. Given they go off average draft position which is determined by a very large...

I was shopping Mike Evans all over the place last week, usually in combo with Josh Gordon. Feeling rather lucky nobody accepted now. Not that his points this week are much use on the bench.
