Businesses that don't require talking to people

    FEEDBACK
Go to a therapist or just overcome it by brute force. I was once an edgy teenager too who didn't want to talk with people, do everything on my own, etc. It's not a trait or superiority complex, it's a deep-rooted, very (very!) limiting insecurity. Every business can be built quicker and more...

Vegan / Vegetarians Only (Chat about lifestyle, opportunities, food, whatever...)

    NOTABLE!
I used to be very focused on gaining about 50lbs/20kg. My goals have since shifted and my diet has improved, but some suggestions that worked: - Beans are not an ideal protein source, but an amazing carbohydrate source that is also high in protein. I use beans as a carb source with protein as...

Vegan / Vegetarians Only (Chat about lifestyle, opportunities, food, whatever...)

    NOTABLE!
I feel you. When I was in Bali, I noticed a very young puppy on the road in what was basically nowhere (in between small towns). Knew it was dumped there, and I also knew there had to be more. Found 3 in total. Called every animal shelter, offered to deliver them and donate money to cover...

27 years old, now homeless. First target $50/hr

    EXECUTION
As someone who started as a freelance copywriter, and still has it as one of the primary services offered, get a high-paying job instead. Seriously, it takes time to get great at it (good is not enough anymore, ChatGPT is good and free), plus figuring out how to consistently get clients to earn...

Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
You're not wrong. I try to be mindful when it comes to certain things (especially food), but I don't check how/where my T-shirt was produced. In general, I'm about progression, not perfection. E.g. going vegan doesn't end animal suffering globally, but it at least lessens it, and, hopefully...

    Observations From Around the Globe

    OFF-TOPIC
Very generalized (I'm from Eastern Europe) - Eastern Europe is likely to be more conservative and traditional while central/western Europe would be more liberal and progressive. Eastern Europe is less accepting of immigrants from non-EU countries, far less accepting of LGBTQ, and sticking to...

Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
I was in and around Bali for 2 months and have been to Thailand twice for 6 months or so. Thailand is generally more developed, so this is more related to Bali (and around). It's poor, visibly poor. Even the touristy areas are poor - severely lacking infrastructure, locals working for a couple...

Has Moving to a Warm and Sunny Climate Made You Happier?

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
I've commented here before, but being in Australia now, my perspective has shifted a bit. A warm and sunny climate contributes significantly to my mood. It's aesthetic, I can go outside and do cool stuff anytime - swim, bike, run, and do other sports, basically year-round. People spend lots of...

    Dropshipping idea

    IDEA
That's literally one of the most saturated and scammy "markets" out there. If within 6 months, you can dropship your way to $10K profit, just invest in custom products and scale it to $100K.

What Do You Wear and Why?

    OFF-TOPIC
I just bought 6 of the same black T-shirts, and I trim my hair every other week at home. I can dress up if needed, but I like not worrying about what to wear and whether my hair is styled every day. Steve Jobs was known for always wearing the same clothing, so he could focus on what actually...

Looking for producers of supplements in Europe

    IDEA FEEDBACK
There are a few that manufacture in-house, but it depends on what supplements you're looking for. Hemp protein powder? Easily found as hemp is commonly grown in Europe. Spirulina? Grown locally in multiple European countries. Ashwagandha or turmeric? You will have to import them or use a...

Looking for producers of supplements in Europe

    IDEA FEEDBACK
I'm building a nutrition/supplement brand in Europe, and I've found many suppliers in every major European country. Wonnda.com is a good start, alternatively, look up the biggest supplement brands like Ostrovit for example, and either buy wholesale and become a distributor, or white-label their...

Do You Think Anti-AI Apps Are A Value Skew?

    - AI -
The concept of "Anti-AI" seems quite broad. Anti-what exactly? AI text? AI creatives? AI support agents? These are just some of the basic use cases, there's data processing (e.g. in the financial sector) and manufacturing, and probably a lot I don't even know about. I'm sure there are some use...

    Starting A GYM

    EXECUTION
Not saying this is the case for OP, but it really is a common story - be an average/below-average dude, start hitting the gym, build a bit of muscle - "I'm going to start a pre-workout brand/ gym/ coaching business". I've considered it too, but the math just doesn't make sense when there are...

Decision to White Label or Private Label my Protein Powder

    SOURCING
Please keep pushing forward, don't take this as discouraging, but $36 per unit is way too high. Include packaging, shipping, and basic fees, and you're already at $50 per unit in costs. That's not including ad spend (which could easily be above $10 per unit sold). Reputable brand protein powders...

Decision to White Label or Private Label my Protein Powder

    SOURCING
I'm in the process of building a nutrition brand as well, so here's my take: Start with a white-label version. Obviously, it's a lower upfront investment, but also can you really innovate and make a new and improved version of a protein powder? Vegan, grass-fed organic, cheap, premium...

    Solving Posture from First Principles

    EXECUTION
I have to agree, and I mentioned this in a previous comment. It reads like Ace is inventing a motorized vehicle and explaining the concept to those who've only known a horse. This does have a benefit - it makes it a highly specialized premium service, thus allowing you to price it at a premium...

Anyone experienced in offering student rooms/apartments?

    REAL ESTATE
I lived in shared apartments as a student in Europe as well. There must be a reason why not more people make a business out of it (some kind of laws against it or tax so high that it becomes a headache/not viable). The average price per room in a 3-bedroom apartment was around 500 euros. The...

APPs: PushUp Counter (uses Smartphone Sesnors) Mobile Web App Prototype, seeking Feedback

SAAS / APPS FEEDBACK WEB DESIGN
Sounds like a good school project or similar. Do you plan for this to make any money? If so, why would anyone pay for it, and what do you think is a reasonable price? Personally, if it only takes you a few hours, cool, if it takes any longer, I don't see this as a micro-saas, or even a...

I quit vaping, and so should you.

    HEALTH
Quick update, I've been vape-free for about 5 months. Recently, I mentioned how I rarely think about it. Now, that I'm in Bali, vapes are everywhere, and it's gotten tempting. I can handle it, but previously I was in Thailand where they were less common. I barely saw them. What keeps me in...
