Entrepreneurship in a Nutshell
FUNNYLOL. I knew he looked familiar.... EDIT: I looked the bike up... my instincts were "pretty good"; Looks like a Kawasaki Police 1000P. In production 1982-2005. They were created to *compete* with Harley-Davidsons... so I got pretty close. Kawasaki police motorcycles - Wikipedia- Young-Gun

I need some advice on dealing with a tough client
PEOPLEHehe, I know I know... was expecting someone to call me out on this exact part, even as I wrote it. I agree 100%, no argument from me. Ultimately, it's all about "service", even the product businesses. That said, I still believe there's an order of magnitude of "service" difference between...- Young-Gun

SaaS Startup Thread, 2nd Time Entrepeneur
SAAS / APPS EXECUTIONMan it's SO good to hear your confirmation that the methods make sense. I agree 100% and think this is the modern way to develop a business (even if it's not Software, but Software is probably the easiest to apply the Lean techniques). Since I really have 0 experience in any actual Software...- Young-Gun

I need some advice on dealing with a tough client
PEOPLEHere's my perspective after nearly 7 years running my own full-time service business: - If you want to keep them long term (you probably do), then the "on the house this time" is the way to go. - BUT - as diplomatically, nicely, (perhaps humorously!) as possible - let her know clearly why you...- Young-Gun

SaaS Startup Thread, 2nd Time Entrepeneur
SAAS / APPS EXECUTIONHey ya'll, sorry I missed my update yesterday. Major personal-life turmoil, unfortunately. And, it really knocked me off balance. So, I just kind of tried to keep the basic stuff going as best I could. (One minor bit of irony is that I made a good bit (four figures) of "passive" income...- Young-Gun

When you feel like life is not fair
PEOPLEHah, whiskey, women, and pessimism touched with hope? Lol. He's not a good influence (in terms of Fastlane-style financial positivity), but he's got a great way with words imo, and is very comfortable looking at the dark side of things. One of America's best poets imho. I haven't read him much...- Young-Gun

Do you own a business or do you own a job?
MINDSETExcellent metaphor - personally I've been guilty (many times) of hoping for the PURE-passive income. But reading an older interview with @MJ DeMarco I saw that he was constantly moving his millions around, researching different global wealth vehicles, and so even when you have the RAW CASH, it's...- Young-Gun

You can go slower than you think
MINDSETOh man this thread is wicked-cool. @Andy Black for what it's worth (since the topic was raised a few posts ago) I love the rambling style of this post, so much wisdom in it. That said I would like it even more if it was "punched up" so I can see where Lex and JoeB are coming from. Also loved...- Young-Gun
