    I Hate Routine

Ive posted a bit on things that make me cringe...mostly the commute. My new one is sitting at lunch, watching thw other cube dwellers. All come rushing in, key cards strapped to their waists like they belong to a specific prison or hell hole. All wearing the fake dressy outfits...you know, the...

Any advice for a beginner Salesman?

Icecreamkid nailed it...among others. Everything that has been said has been in the small amt of selling books ive read. Focus on the person, what their needs are and how they will benefit from your product. I really want to jump into sales, but I dont want to sell something I have to trick...

High scool I was both....my closest friends were going to same college, so no matter. I was excited because I was 18 and thought college would be way more fun ; away from home, non 8 hr school day, wear caps to class, etc. And it was fun. I agree with saying your youth is gone....while college...

    GOLD! MINDSET
You know what lame excuse is holding me back? An idea. I dont have fear of screwing up as I am working on the idea. I dont have a problem wasting money on an idea. I do have a day job, but dont really have a fear of losing it or dumping it to go after the idea. Mj stated in another thread that...

If u want to learn, get a job that relates to fastlane...sales, marketing, computers of some sort. If u are strictly looking for cash build up, work hard in some sales or commission based environment. I thought about grinding as a car salesman to work long hours and make cash to build up for...

The "Shift" From Consumer To Producer

    MINDSET
Not saying these are amazing ideas, but think of how many food choppers and blenders, as well as overall kitchen gadgets have been invented. You see these commercials on tv all the time...you know, the ones that are $19.95 and if you buy now, they double the offer! Just reinvent something...

What is the best book on sales?

    HOT!
I picked up SPIN Selling from the local library, and will also pick up Influence, Browne's book, and Holmes' book...and will provide my honest opinion after reading all (if I remember to come back to this thread). I can't imagine Belfort's program not being worth the price with his background...

I need to pay "Uncle Sam" to get what I want!

You dont sound like you are going to scale this...youre basically a guy with a truck that helps people move occasionally for flow. However, you sound like you want to build up a down pmt which is several 1000s of dollars. I would pay taxes. Not giving you tax advice, but if you werent going that...

How do you guys maintain motivation?

    MINDSET
Working on an idea that can be worth thousands, millions, billions and getting free time forever without financial worry should be enough motivation. Hardest part is finding motivation to disregard all of the other comforts of life to listen closely to needs and get off all of the distractions...

    401K! Yay!!!

So, should we still be investing in these things while at our day jobs to take the free money, or ignoring this on the basis of future fastlane wealth and using the money in more productive ways? Smarter to come up with solid idea and then stop the investment?
