Web 3.0 (Ethereum) is happening, and most people have no idea what it even is.

Amazing news! This what we need more of to move out of the hype and into real world valuation. Side note: A dapp called Virtue Poker has signed Phil Ivey as a representative. Interesting for those into poker.

I agree with this. I think there is way too much hype around cryptocurrencies at the moment, and its not sustainable. I believe it will 'crash' in the short term but then in a few years we will just see it as a correction. And a much needed one in my opinion.

I also like this line of thinking. So Ethereum uses solidity, while Neo uses existing programming languages. Since I already know a bit of Java, if I was to develop a Dapp, I'd develop it for Neo since I won't have to learn a new language. Plus you always know that those programming languages...

Multiple businesses at the same time? Thoughts?

I think this is more than a simple yes no. If you're mainly just providing funds and acting in an advisory role then I don't see why not. But if you're starting them by yourself, I doubt you'd have time to give both the time they deserve.

Dark Factory: The robotics revolution is changing what machines can do. Where do humans fit in?

But what about the fact that an entire industry was created in computers, programming, cyber security, word processing etc? The list could go on forever. While those jobs were lost in that location, many jobs were also created in a different location as a result of the new technology.

Dark Factory: The robotics revolution is changing what machines can do. Where do humans fit in?

These kinds of 'revolutions have happened so many times in history and everytime it happened there was no great depression or mass unemployment. For example, when computers were invented, all the people that were 'calculators' were out of a job. But does that mean they couldn't get another job...

Do Any Of You Guys Think Apple Are Starting To Show Signs Of Falling?

    RANT
Exactly right! But they do need to release a new product soon. Phones have almost reached a plateau in terms of innovation and soon people aren't going to see the point in buying the new one. But obviously, people are still buying them, so Apple will keep selling them for the time being. I do...

    Going to College for Free

This is kinda how it works in Aus. You don't have to pay back your uni debt until you're earning over 50k per year. And it's only like 3% of your salary or something. But I can see how this would be appealing for the US Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

    Learn how to Blockchain

I'm not sure where the best place to post this is... Does anyone on here know coding in the block chain? Or any good resources for learning it? I'd love to get to know the technology that's probably going to shape the next 50 years. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

A Degree is NOT a Fall Back Plan, SKILLS Are

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
Interesting read. When I left school, I got a trade. That trade makes me money and continues to make me money while I'm currently getting a degree in Engineering. While the engineering degree will be valuable, it will be my trade (or skill) that will actually be my fallback. The degree is for...

Do I show my wireframe to prospective users?

I'm in the process of a making an app for a small local community I've built on Facebook, and I've released a few screenshots to get people interested and talking about it. I've also gotten some very early feedback on features they want included, which I'm able to implement in my first release...

This is exactly what I was thinking of doing! I'll give it a go next weekend.

To the guys that have been doing this for way longer than me, does the market dip every weekend, or is that just something that has been happening recently? I was thinking it may have something to do with traditional investors not investing on the weekends.

Well its reassuring to hear that someone that knows a hell of a lot more than me agrees. Did you get in at the ICO? Along similar lines I feel like OMG has big potential, especially considering it already has a platform. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Since I first read this thread a month or so ago, I've been doing plenty of research into the crypto/blockchain world and boy has it opened up my eyes. The possibilities are truly astounding. Personally, I'm a big fan of the cryptos that allow you to spend other coins, like Tenx. I think...

To code or not to code?

    WEB/DIGITAL
I totally agree with your method, and I have been coding as much as I can. But at the moment I don't even know what's possible and I don't know any syntax at all. So it would be pointless for me to try and build a bird house without any wood. This morning I didn't know what an activity was...

To code or not to code?

    WEB/DIGITAL
I've been dipping my toe in the coding water a little bit lately (a few hours here and there), but today I decided to get stuck in and I've done roughly 16 hours of Java (following along with Lynda vids), and its bloody hard. With basically no coding background beyond the tiny amount I've done...
