YouTube channel about Google Sheets / Apps - Script - Progress thread
HOT! EXECUTIONHere is the update for the last month: Not so much to say. I've released only one video (about how to use an API from Apps Script) but I am actually quite disapointed with the results so far ... The start wasn't crazy (only 3rd best of the 10 last videos after 1 day) and only after a few days...- Cybom

I'm good with people, but tend to have issues with bosses
I've been employed in a big company for almost a decade now and never had such issue (I think because I often communicate upfront, maybe sometimes too much) but I also often have the feeling to do sometimes some things more to please (some) managers although it does not seem to be the most...- Cybom

YouTube channel about Google Sheets / Apps - Script - Progress thread
HOT! EXECUTIONI actually already tried to have a second channel in English and published those two videos but they hardly attracted just a few views so I stopped it and decided to focus on the channel in French since I couldn't handle both at the same time. Adding some English version is actually quite easy...- Cybom

YouTube channel about Google Sheets / Apps - Script - Progress thread
HOT! EXECUTIONThank you Andy ! I did the excercise for 2 videos whose you can see the comparison below (blue is English, purple is French). 1) First one ... For this one you need to note the French video was quite old so not so good quality: I recently did a better video on the same topic in French and the...- Cybom

YouTube channel about Google Sheets / Apps - Script - Progress thread
HOT! EXECUTIONHello all, Almost 2 years after starting this YouTube channel, here is the update for this month: As you can see, the channel finally achieved 1000 subscribers... This was originally my target after 1 year ... but almost 2 years later here we are. Apart from that, not too much to say for this...- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONThanks, right now the number of impressions looks as usual, quickly increasing at first then saturating ... we'll see in a few weeks whether is can increase again or not, that's the usual pattern. I will try to find a more appealing topic for the next month and repeat / improve the editing part.- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONThanks, I will keep sharing as I move forward! Few days after, the click-rate on the end-screen has dropped quite a bit (althoguh still better than the average) but the rest of the parameters seem to remain consistent with the start ... So let's give it time and let's do better with the next video.- Cybom

YouTube channel about Google Sheets / Apps - Script - Progress thread
HOT! EXECUTIONHi everyone! Here's already the update for July-2024: I haven't worked a lot this latest month and I actually spent quite a lot of time watching videos from the Film Booth or other channels to get ideas to create my next video. I'm also spending time on tutorials to upgrade my editing skills...- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONI will focus on more basic (beginner oriented) and appealing videos for a while and target to advertise existing videos at the end. In the meantime I have just finished selecting one by one the end screen video for all of the videos already published, trying to keep a similar topic to make...- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONThanks, I'll try it although I often struggle to make higher quality content with short videos (the current short videos usually take me much less time for editing since it's just an how to video, really basic one). I'll first go through all my videos already published to manually define the...- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONOooooh I see now. I doesn't look good on my side ... not good at all. The average of the channel peaks at an incredible 0.8% ... The best video I've seen so far is at 4%. There is for sure room for improvement there... So far I fully rely on YouTube to choose the video to advertise on the...- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONThanks for sharing this @Cameraman . Happy to read you found the way to improve your channel! 20% of people coming back sounds like a good average, I don't often go over 20% on my side: When I have a closer look at the viewing time, I can notice now it starts dropping since mid-March when I...- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONHere is the latest update: 1) 100k views achieved on the channel (doesn't really add value but still good to see) 2) It is slowly approaching the 1000 subs now and I've noticed the number of new subscribers per month was cut by half the last month ... looks like the algorithm does not want...- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONThank you @pmusu ! The further it goes, the more obvious it is that YouTube plays with the number of subscribers to "control" the channel so it is definitely not the right indicator for a target (although some people still manage to get quick success). Idea 1 => I have quite a few videos...- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONHello all, Here is the latest progress: Not a lot of progress on YouTube side... I keep up with the 1 video per week pace and I'm currently busy with a series of videos showing the possibilities to automatize the creation of invoices ... nothing that has the potential to create a buzz but...- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONThanks mate ! For the work I'm currently busy with, I actually have no clue of what could be the price (or let's say I have a rough idea but not sure enough to be confident). And as I am currently looking to get the structure to propose services (or to sell anything), I proposed him to work on...- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONHey @Timmy C , Quite good, hope you're doing great too! Sorry to hear your project did not go as planned. Did you completely completely drop it or still exploring alternative ways to turn it into business? Talking about business, on my side, most of the opportunities I get are requests to...- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONHello, This month went sooo fast, here is the update: Regarding the English titles and subtitles, I catched up the delay I had on the videos. I used to spend a lot of time on the subtitles to get the best translation but I think this is not worth to spend so much time on it right now. So...- Cybom

HOT! EXECUTIONYes indeed, I actually started adding English subtitles and titles after this video but it did not seem to make any big difference for the videos after this one. And the two videos I've tried to make fully in English did not have a big success so I left that a bit on the side for now.- Cybom
