Exiting the cubicle farm and taking Web-Design full time

    HOT! SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGN
Lol yeah I hope so. I noticed I had the same level of fear (rapid heart beat, slight trembling, had to pace around) for calls that I used to for donating blood. I remembered my cure for that had been to not think about it and just sign up and go do it without thinking about much about it. So...

After speaking with a few WDs that were able to make it back in the day, I went back to cold calling as of last Teusday. Calling 6 days a week monday-saturday, so far 140 calls in. The past three days I'm sitting in my 105f degree car making calls before my work lunchbreak ends. Most of the...

Lack of quality for service 2022

    RANT
It sounds like a lot of these people just don't care anymore, most of them being in those lower level jobs... so let's take a look at it: Average rent across u.s. cities is around 2,000$/mo and going up (more than an average mortgage up until 2014). Electricity rates are tripling. Food is at...

Would anyone know of someone who's developed a food product or a resource about developing a recipe or contacting kitchens/copackers? I know what I want, but developing the recipe seems like a challenge. I know MJ talks about the "search cipher" in TGRRE but I haven't been able to dig anything...

Welcome to TFF Prusak! Sounds rough, glad you had that realization now instead of when you turned 40 at least! What do you want to do heading into the future?

Interesting, I suggest you re-read my post in full, then check my progress thread. This is the worst economy since the 1970s.

What's your real-life non-productivity porn morning routine that gets you crushing in business?

    HOT! MINDSET
My best productivity is when I'd wake up early, make coffee, and either immediately leave for the library or start doing focusmate blocks (focusmate.com). At the start of the work sprint, I'll set my goals for the day, and just gradually work through them. The other thing that helped was MAKING...

Newsflash: Fastlane is your only hope. Not stocks, crypto, gold, or jobs.

    GOLD! HOT! MINDSET
Starting with my first professional job after college, I started saving up all my money and kept it in savings for either a house or a business and get into the fastlane. All of my slowlane friends dumped into stocks or shiny toys and called me an imbecile and told me to just "enjoy life". After...

Hyperinflation starting? What's happening in your area? Post your ground reports.

    HOT! INVESTING
Any other SMBs or freelanders having a tough time mentally dealing with the controlled implosion of the economy? Sure the money is hyperinflating, but the supply chain issues coupled with the market starting to grind to a halt is making a lot of the SMB owners I've reached out to rather...

What country is this? What size (oz or ml) jar? I paid for 7.99 for avacado oil mayo once because it was organic, I can't imagine about 15$ for regular mayo canola oil slop unless it was a gallon from costco, whoa.

The Failure Thread: How we lost $20K / month and other Business Mishaps!

    MARKETING MINDSET EXECUTION
I spent 5 months slowly building a following for an art/music-movement on instagram and feeding them new, original works so I could sell them... dropshipped t-shirts (this was in 2018). I spent all of that time and effort, including maybe 250 hours re-learning photoshop and making art prints...

    Is Anyone Else Intermittent Fasting?

    NOTABLE!
Combo of IF and watching macros helped me lose 100lbs. For the first few months just doing 16:8, I effortlessly lost 35lbs, it was great. Switched to omad and it sort of worked, lost about another 30lbs but hovered there for a year or so. During corona, said "fug it" and started prioritizing...

How many of you play video games?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
I don't know how, but I somehow linked MASSIVE pain and fomo to playing video games and I can go weeks without logging into steam. I think I played ready or not recently on a reccomendation, it was actually a lot of what I missed from playing videogames (slow, meticulous) but I managed to put it...

Many salient points, especially for anyone younger than gen x. Have a house? You might be ok. You don't? Stick a fork in you, because you're DONE (you will never be a homeowner unless there's a mega crash and institutional investors are regulated out of single-family home purchases, or a...

This post has a lot of good points, I'll just lay out where I'm at and what I'm needing to do, and maybe my actions so far will make more sense. Ground level: 1) Still working a dayjob at 50 hours a week, eats up most of my waking hours and have to pick and choose tasks to do per day...

Man, really wish I hadn't seen this. Some sectors seem to have peaked, but the whole clown car seems to keep speeding for the edge and no one wants to step in and take the right action due to the asset/debt bubbles. On the note of all this, does anyone have some favored forum threads or...
