Young Fastlane Savers Club (Plant your fastlane seeds. NOW)

    MINDSET
If you lose the 50h/week job tomorrow, what happens? Save $13,000 per year vs $26,000 is really neither here nor there. To me, it sounds like you want to build you blog. But honestly, I think you would do better (both short and long term) winning clients. I'm also confused. You said you used...

Is your life done when you get gray hair?

    MINDSET
Wow. Some people are grey by 40. I will be cashing in my fastlane at 40 (or before). With a good 40 years of the good good life left. What a miserable outlook she has.

    Does anyone use SqaureSpace?

I've tried SquareSpace but ditched it due to being too restrictive. I moved to Weebly who, while still restrictive, had some better 3rd party themes which allowed me create the site I wanted (purely informational for an offline business) For anything else I use WordPress as the support is...

I don't understand how good copy works

    MARKETING
I think the problem is that you have to sell to different people in different way, however because you can very seldom be that targeted, you have to pick the lowest common denominator, in this case a sales letter. It is also possible you aren't their target. If they aren't solving a problem...

Can we talk about Word of Mouth?

    MARKETING
I recommend a company for so many different reasons that I when I think about it, I don't even know why some companies get my word of mouth. Amazon don't need my recommendation. But they astound me when I order something, and have it in my hand less than 2 hours later (incredible service). So I...

Autonomous cars taking away our jobs?

    1) Yep, you can have a driverless recovery truck, which won't even need a human to tell it one is broken down. 2) Yep to driverless ambulance. For the foreseeable future there will still be a paramedic in the back. But the ambulance will be busy calculating the fastest route and dealing with...

    Another quick question for Americans

    OFF-TOPIC
To me, it seemed obvious that a global extension like .com (or .net, .org, .gov etc) would rank globally. And a local extension like .co.uk (or .fr, .us, .nz) would rank locally. Of the results on that google search for how to save money, despite some of the facts being in the wrong currency...

    Another quick question for Americans

    OFF-TOPIC
But all of them will happily sell to you (despite you being in the UK). And therefore your search results are relevant to what you searched. .com is used for global business, .co.uk isn't.

    Another quick question for Americans

    OFF-TOPIC
Google isn't stupid. They aren't going to show an American a British website unless it includes INCREDIBLY relevant information. .com is used globally. It isn't really a US extension (at least not anymore) so it isn't a fair comparison to say "I live in the U.K. And visit loads of .com sites...

    I Hate Doctors, Man..

    RANT
My dentist does this. Hate it. Go in for a checkup and he asks "So are you happy with your smile? It would be pretty easy to fix xyz" "I didn't even know xyz was a problem" "Oh it's not, it would just make your smile nicer" "Then get back to your job of keeping me healthy!"* *Obviously...

Has anyone in physical product sales actually got a profitable website?

    HOT!
Personal experience story here. I (and I imagine others) don't trust the shit on eBay, and Amazon to a certain degree. A few years ago now I bought a generic Blackberry (lmao) charger from eBay. I forget what I paid, but basically it blew up on the first use. I was in the room at the time...
