It finally clicked! "Someday" is Today!

    EXECUTION
Re: DIY vs Hiring. It largely depends on budget. But this has actually been one of my biggest lessons. I have always been a bootstrapper and alway tried to do as much as I could myself. But eventually I realised that I would spend a huge amount of time learning a skill to produce something...

    Protecting your startup?

    WEB/DIGITAL
Came here to say this. There is just no need imo. Sure you may save a few % doing it yourself. But the risk isn't worth it.

Lex DeVille's - I Deleted My Upwork Account...

    NOTABLE! SIDE HUSTLE
I think this happens way more often than you think. I've only posted a handful of jobs on upwork, but I intentionally lowball my budget. I have found that people will simply match my budget no matter what I'm asking for. Anyone matching my very low budget is automatically excluded because...

SaaS Startup Thread, 2nd Time Entrepeneur

    SAAS / APPS EXECUTION
Why isn't your SAAS based around education? You know the market, you know the customers, hell, you have a pre-existing customer base to sell it to! It works for music, languages, math... I'm sure you can make it work for your niche EDIT: @Andy Black beat me to it (sort of)

SaaS Startup Thread, 2nd Time Entrepeneur

    SAAS / APPS EXECUTION
It took you 7 years to create the business you have today. In 7 years time, with 7 more years of growth and expertise, will a 14 year old tutoring business be earning more than a SAAS which is yet to be conceptualised? I don't know. I just felt the question needed to be asked.

No News For a Week Challenge (Super Easy): Who's IN?

    HOT! MINDSET
I cut news out entirely about six months ago. One of the best things I have done for my productivity, focus and happiness. Sometimes it feels very insular to act this way. But ultimately, most of the stuff that happens in the news has zero impact on my life. Every now and then I look like a...

    Help: The Ethics of Fluff

    PUBLISHING
Now this is just guessing, but I bet you have given the reader the facts without any story or adventure, or like jazz hands. MJ could have told us he was a chubby kid who liked cars but didn't have much luck in business for ages. But he didn't. He told us the story. People love stories. It...

    No credit checks..

    EXECUTION
Two pages in and still not an ounce of value was seen. Exploitation isn't added value and sure as shit isn't fastlane (in the true sense of the word).

    No credit checks..

    EXECUTION
The repo business is (for the most part) a genuine business filling a genuine need. A business which hands out credit without doing any checks knowing they will be repo'ing the car in a few months (as per the OP) is irresponsible, predatory and down right scummy TBH.

    No credit checks..

    EXECUTION
This sounds like a business which really adds value. Make sure you keep us up to date with all the sidewalkers you exploit.

    Rough draft of email

    MARKETING
No it isn't. Step one is to get 1 single blogger on board. There are literally tens of thousands. You could have a 0.01% conversion rate and still be fine.

    Of pendants and progress!

    EXECUTION
I can't speak for Midwest, but no, I don't think that's what he was suggesting. The more businesses you can study using a similar model, the better you can make yours. Cherry pick what they do well, scrap what they don't, improve on poor execution

    Rough draft of email

    MARKETING
I would drop the "for now"s. As someone in your previous post said you are selling stories, not pendants. So stop talking about pendants and forums, neither exist so they don't care IMO. I am also of the opinion that for this business, dog tags actually make more sense. But that's not a...

How much money is needed to live comfortably for the rest of my life?

    EXECUTION
What? So we can't post about things we find relevant. Do you want an exact figure? No conversation? Alright. I'd live a very good life on 500k per annum.

24 Year Old Makes $345,000 in 2 Months..

    HOT!
This guy was first. Doesn't mean he's the best. If you see someone copying you, and your initial reaction isn't to work harder to out-do them. You've got the wrong attitude.

    PRACTICE GIVING VALUE... On Quora!

    SOCIAL MEDIA
Quora is a huge sink-hole of time. I stumbled across it one day and read a couple of cool questions and answers. Before I knew it 2 hours had been entirely wasted. I vowed never to return to that corner of the internet and returned to calling clients.
