This is how you FAIL at Black Friday

    HOT!
That is what I was thinking. A DDOS attack would be the only legitimate explanation. I kind of doubt that it is though, because if so they probably would have announced that they are experiencing a DDOS attack. Unreal.

    Welcome Back KAK

    OFF-TOPIC
GEEZ KAK, why couldn't you have just stayed away. You are a terrible person, and you've literally desecrated the forum with your presence. I award you zero points. Is that better? Glad you are back man!

    The Best in the World

    EXECUTION
I was listening to a podcast the other day, and Seth Godin was a guest. He said something that really struck me, something that I had never really thought about before. “…the point is the only way you can be the best in the world at anything is by quitting everything else. And that means you...

How to earn 20% ROI, Cut your Taxes in Half, and Take Your Business Offshore

    MARKETPLACE
FWIW, I met GlobalWealth earlier this year, and he is super knowledgeable about this stuff. I would trust him to help me set up my legal structure if I were in a position that required it.

Have a job interview tomorrow.. Tips? (16 Yearold)

Ok, so you have a really good chance of getting the job. Simply dressing up nice will put you ahead of probably 40% of the candidates. If you have some nice dress shoes, dress pants, shirt and tie; put them on. Then, put together a resume if you don't have one. Basically, it will be a way to...

Tormented by Procrastination and Doubt, Advice?

    HOT! MINDSET
When I get overwhelmed by having a lot of things to do, or a monumental task in front of me, I shut down. For me to make progress, I have to break it up into small manageable pieces that aren't scary. Also, a lot of the time the task only seems monumental because I haven't defined exactly what...

Best slowlane "job" to get into...

    SLOWLANE
I say go into analytics and big data. There is a lot of job growth in that area, and the skills can definitely be applicable once your business gets out of the startup phase and is more mid-sized. Really knowing numbers, data, how to set things up optimally, and how to find insights can really...

8 Eyewear: From Idea, to Launch, to Growth (And Quitting the Job)

    IDEA
Dunno about sunglasses, but I worked in the jewelry industry some. Sterling silver is a 4x keystone (the jewelry stores got a 75% discount, aka if a necklace retailed for $100, they would pay $25), gold products are a 3x keystone. With the higher metal prices these days it was usually a little...

Website Layout Question - I'm Using WordPress

    WEB/DIGITAL
I would invest in a good theme with lots of layout options. I've heard good things about envato and I am personally using X Theme and I like it. You need to make it interesting somehow, not just text. Use different colored backgrounds or icons or something to make it pop.

    Finding and sticking to something?

    MINDSET
I've decided that the next business I work on, I am going to stick with it for an entire year. I too think things will just fall into my lap, but I know that is a ridiculous, false belief. Instead of quitting next time when things get hard, I am just going to keep grinding it out. I think this...

To College or Not To College [HELP]

    MINDSET
I agree with youngtrep, though for slightly different reasons. Here is my take on it. If you are smart, which you seem to be, school won't take up 100% of your time. I got mostly A's, and I studied MAYBE 3 hours a week, MAX. I didn't know about business then, so I generally wasted my time...

Millennials are Jerks, And Boomers Are to Blame

    NOTABLE! PEOPLE
Interesting, I never thought about it like this before. I grew up playing video games on my Gameboy and my grandma even got me the Nintendo 64 when it came out. That was also validation and reinforcement, and it happened way before social media ever even came around. Leveling up, beating the bad...

    Finding and sticking to something?

    MINDSET
Brilliant. This is exactly right. This is something that I have struggled with for a long time. I am currently doing Victor Pride's "30 Days of Discipline". A guy on the forum told me about it, and I am doing it with another guy on the forum so we can keep each other on track. I think...

    Dealing with lonliness

    OFF-TOPIC
I like to talk to my business friends on Skype. Then, even if I don't have any friends close by, I can still talk and have some great friendships. I stay in touch with quite a few forum members this way, and am even very good friends with a guy who I have never even met in person from this forum!

    I Can Sell Anything..AMA

    AMA
I am looking for a job currently. I could get a job in analytics, which is what I have the most experience in, but I also want to learn sales. I don't have a track record of success, but I am confident that I could figure it out. What are your recommendations for people brand new to sales? What...
