    Growing Brass Balls

    OFF-TOPIC
No fear when talking to people is something that I cultivated without really realizing it. I almost think it is easier to start by talking to people in person than on the phone; and once you get an idea of how people react in person you can more easily translate it to the phone. Next time you...

8 Eyewear: From Idea, to Launch, to Growth (And Quitting the Job)

    IDEA
I really like all the designs with grey accents on them. I like the solid grey pair as well, but I almost wish the grey was a little bit lighter in color. I can't pull off the bulky sunglasses look, so keep that in mind with my opinions... :D

What do you all think of "You need money to make money"?

I am not there yet, so don't take my words as the words of a seasoned vet, but this is what I have learned. Pretty much, have a product that is better than the competition in some way, and you will have the beginnings of a successful online business. Once you meet people's needs, getting...

What do you all think of "You need money to make money"?

botnickguy, I am not sure if you realize, but MJ was being completely serious with you here. That is the amount of money he had in his bank when he started Limos. Basically; the book, this forum, and all MJ's cash came from a pool of seed money amounting to less than $400 bucks. That my friend...

Licensing a system to my employer

Search for "Stephen Key" on the forum here, and read his thread about licensing. It is like 15 pages long, and is a goldmine of information. He wrote a book called One Simple Idea, all about licensing, and lots of members here have recommended it. I am currently reading it now.

PayPal credits man $92 quadrillion dollars- by accident

    OFF-TOPIC
The influx of cash would immediately cause massive hyperinflation and destroy the current monetary system, which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing...

    Who are your heros?

    MINDSET
Ron Paul is one of my heros because he stuck to his principles regardless of what people said or whether or not he stood alone on issues. He also is a great example of perseverance and making it through the desert of desertion. He didn't have a following for probably 20 years, but he stuck to...

    Do Internet Memes Have Licenses?

I know that some of the cat memes have a creator who is actively hunting down people infringing on his designs. I just read an article about it a few days ago; its the cat with the rainbow behind it.

8 Eyewear: From Idea, to Launch, to Growth (And Quitting the Job)

    IDEA
You could almost make a display rack that is your logo. Here is what I am envisioning: Roughly 8 inches wide and maybe about 14-20 inches tall. It would look exactly like the little stand up logo thing in your pictures, except it wouldn't be as slanted backwards. Above the black 8, the...

One Simple Idea - Stephen Key

    IDEA
Bump. I ordered the book, and it is in the mail on the way to my house right now! In the meantime I have a quick question: I thought of a product that would be using a movie character. I know that I have to communicate with the movie company to get permission to use the character; but since...

    Marketing Car Detailing HELP

    MARKETING
Also, you don't say if the packages tier on one another. If I buy the interior detail do I get the exterior detail and simple car wash as well? If I buy the "Complete Detail" do I get everything?

    NOTABLE! EXECUTION
Just wrote down my 10 ideas. The category I chose for today's ideas was "Ways to sell things for other businesses." Out of my 10 ideas, I had about 3 solid ones; 2 of which I am going to research more. Thanks for the good tip! I already made some calls on one of the ideas; and one party in the...

    NOTABLE! EXECUTION
Thanks. I have been looking for a new job and working on my side business at nights, but I haven't been writing. I really like how you talk about the 'idea muscle' and writing ideas every day to strengthen it. Thanks for your valuable insight.

    NOTABLE! EXECUTION
This is amazing. Haha. I've been lurking long enough; time for a question: Imagine you had a job that meant you were away from home from 7am to 6pm, you don't have a side-business generating any income yet, and you don't have enough money to quit. How would your daily schedule change and...
