    MEETUPS
Yea; my intention was not AT ALL to diss B&P (I am a lucky dog and got a ticket). I just noticed that people were disappointed about not being able to go, so I figured I might as well see if there was interest. The reason I put it a month apart and in a different city is because I didn't just...

PatrickP has expressed interest to me as well. This is a very good point. I guess I was just striking while the iron was hot. I know there is a big waiting list for B&P, which is why I scheduled them so close together. I really like your idea of having 3 or 4 big ones a year. However, we...

    MEETUPS
I am thinking that some people may want to attend both, and also by spacing them a month apart this event may work for some people whose schedules didn't work for B&P. Additionally, We have a lot of East Coast members, and being located in Atlanta would be a bit closer for them. Plus, this is...

For room liability reasons, I am thinking it would be best for everyone to get their own room. The discounted room rate at the location I am exploring is $89/night plus tax. Ticket + Food would remain at $175 I we stay with the hotel I have chosen. ***

Demand for B&P exceeded supply. Anyone interested in doing another meet-up? I've been negotiating with a hotel in Atlanta, GA. The hotel has 3.4 stars and is a mile or two from the Airport. Dates would be March 14th, 15th, and 16th (tentatively). ***EDIT: For room liability reasons, I am...

    buying a muscle car

    HOT! MINDSET
Seems like a slippery slope to me. First its the car. Next you will have to invite clients over to your apt to close the deal, and soon you are needing a better place. Gotta upgrade clothes, watches, and shoes as well so you look good. Don't forget about where this could lead.

A little more background about me that might help you give me better feedback. In college a friend and I started a fishing club that allowed us to travel around the country fishing in the FLW's collegiate level tournament trail. To defray costs of travel we picked up local businesses as...

Dollar as the Reserve Currency - will it end?

    OFF-TOPIC
So what would an acceptable alternative look like? I know some people have talked about a basket of commodities; is that realistic? Or will an acceptable alternative come from a currency currently in existence as the world economy shifts?

Dollar as the Reserve Currency - will it end?

    OFF-TOPIC
Agree 100%. Can you talk about this a little more? How will all the treasuries they hold influence their actions? Won't they be hesitant to strengthen their currency if it will bomb their investment?

Dollar as the Reserve Currency - will it end?

    OFF-TOPIC
I have been thinking about long term implications of the Fed's actions over the last couple years, and one of the biggest things that could happen is the dollar no longer being used as the reserve currency for the world. What do you guys think, is this something that could happen? Here is an...
