Which Entrepreneur Did the Better Job?

    MINDSET
Assuming he inherited the money, that means he might not have had any previous business knowledge. To invest the money to get a 20% ROI is legit for someone who just came into that money, instead of just spending it like a sidewalker. Person #2 gets my vote without a doubt.

    Vagina Trees...

    FUNNY
Good ole Bradford Pears. Worst tree ever. Not only do they stink, but they can't even withstand a mild wind without ripping apart. Only tree with a worse smell are Gingko Trees, affectionately named "Poo Berry Trees" when I was in college. If I ever own a house with either type of tree, I am...

    IDEA
CONGRATS. You really are an inspiration. I have been working on staying consistent on an idea, and you are an excellent example of what happens when someone keeps grinding and doesn't give up. Enjoy being a free man!

What Are Your Most Painful Tasks Currently?

Hypothetically, say I woke up tomorrow and something worked perfectly....how would it work??? In all seriousness, just staying in the zone is my biggest painful task. At my job, I need to be creative, driven, and constantly moving all sorts of different things forward. I can do it very well...

    Selling my domain name

    WEB/DIGITAL
Try to figure out more about the guy asking if you can. If he is with some big established company you may be able to ask for more than if he is a little guy starting a company.

New business idea. Need your feedback

    IDEA
The problem you will have is finding good leads for work, since you don't have any relationships. I would partner up with an existing business in an industry you like; pick a business that doesn't have custom fabrication abilities. Basically, tell them you will be a new product line for them...

New business idea. Need your feedback

    IDEA
I know of a dirty steel mill that implemented a remote control water blaster inside a hard to get to area. They were having to pay people to clean it, and it was pretty dangerous, so this company installed these guide rails that the waterblaster could travel along, hooked it up to a camera...

    The Third Alternative

    MINDSET
Good stuff isn't it! I was PUMPED when I was reading. I am actually working a career type job again, and I used some of the principles in it to think of a GREAT business that the company I am working for could partner with. I called up their head of sales already and set up a meeting... ;). I...

    The Third Alternative

    MINDSET
VERY good post. A few weeks ago, someone else from the forum posted a .pdf that talked extensively about how to think about and find 'third alternatives' (but not in those exact words). It basically talked about ways to do partnerships that leverage other people's resources, and make both...

This is why: Take 1: Take 2: Take 3, AFTER people told him he needed to be an insider and even gave him a link: Take 4, exactly 5 minutes later: LOL.

    Interesting Problem

    WEB/DIGITAL
So the first order of business is to get the findings. Then, depending on what results you get you can angle for some coverage. You might be able to make some connections on the hill in DC with it, or get in with the Fair Tax crowd, but I doubt you will be able to monetize this particular model.

    Interesting Problem

    WEB/DIGITAL
What did your findings show? I am not sure where you could take this, but if the results showed something interesting you could spin it to a local news station somehow and get some publicity.

    Interesting Problem

    WEB/DIGITAL
I've got a couple questions. How did you build your model? Like, what did you use to build it? R? SAS? What results did your model show, and were you able to use any real data to run some tests to see if your model was accurate?

Commandment of Control - Pinterest starts banning affiliate links

I thought this was an interesting display of why the commandment of control is so important. With one decision, Pinterest smashed some of the biggest affiliates relying on Pinterest. BLAM. "Pinterest warned select “power pinners” this evening that it will now “automatically remove all affiliate...
