How do I Publish a "Real" Book?

I'm glad you started this thread. I was going to chime in on one of your other threads that I personally would not purchase an e-book (again) simply because twice in the past I have and they were total garbage. I am pretty sure they were written by middle-schoolers. Anyway, I like the...

A life Ends at Age 58

    OFF-TOPIC
As a fellow Buffalonian, hearing of Tim Russert's passing is like hearing of a childhood buddy passing away who you haven't spoken to in a few years. There is a closeness I feel even though I never met the man. Having recently lived in South Buffalo for a couple of years following my divorce...

    Big Lebowski

    OFF-TOPIC
Maybe I have to watch it a couple more times to get the true beauty of it. I had a similar initial response when I first watched "Zoolander" - I couldn't get past the stupidity. But then it started to be played over and over again on Cinemax or The Movie Channel and it was always playing in...

    Big Lebowski

    OFF-TOPIC
So after many friends suggested I see the movie, my girlfriend and I rented "The Big Lebowski" the other night and watched it. One hour and fifty minutes later we both looked at each other, completely puzzled and asked each other what in the hell we had just watched! I dunno, folks...

Is anyone open to starting a book club?

Count me in as well. I have never been involved with a book club and may dissapoint some of the other folks in the club but I am interested in giving it a try. I may need a quick lesson on book club etiquette. I have a terrible tendency of picking up a book, reading 150 pages of it and then...

. "Building Your Empire - How to Create Massive Wealth in the Self Storage Industry" That would catch my eye on the bookshelf. I think the "how to make millions..." lingo is good but it is already on too many book covers. "Empire" and "Massive Wealth" are a couple of terms you...

ANNOUNCING - Beer and Pancake Videos!

    HOT!
I agree. So far I have only been able to watch the eBay presentation and part of Lance's Overcoming Fear presentation. Both of which are top-notch. I was browsing the fastmentors site at work the other day and noticed that there had been little activity among the users since the end of...

A Great Example of a Deceptive Landing Page

    WEB/DIGITAL
Russ, I don't think this model is spamming but it does seem to "clog" the internet with things that aren't useful or relevant to what a web user is looking for... Assuming you had the web savvy to do so, would you view this as a legit business model? I don't think I would.

A Great Example of a Deceptive Landing Page

    WEB/DIGITAL
Not to fall too far off-topic, but now I am lost. As is well documented in some of my previous posts I am not totally web-savvy. Especially when it comes to stuff like this... So what you're saying is having numerous sites with nothing but garbage on them but keywords that rank the sites...

A Great Example of a Deceptive Landing Page

Maybe I'm not a fan of domainers, then. Who knew??? It just doesn't strike me as a legitimate way to earn money. It seems as equally deceptive as ServiceMagic. Unless I'm missing something...

I will still watch the show when I get the chance to, but I became a bit turned off with the direction of the show when he started interviewing "famous" people, and in particular, famous people's kids rather than the people that started their successes from the ground up. Tori Spelling, the...

    HOT!
Thanks to all who have had a hand in putting this together. I just finished watching Jill's eBay presentation - great stuff. I can't wait to get into the rest of it. My feedback on what I have received so far for my $49 investment (spoken eBay feedback style): "Fantastic Value; Great...
