    MINDSET FAILURE
My site teaches people how to use video. I have the expertise to teach this as I've done it for nearly a decade. My videos? They're done using a $10 mic with a horrible range and all my videos are basically motion graphics and not real videos. The 'vision' for the end scope isn't within my...

How great websites become worthless... (Craigslist rant)

I think the addition of paid subscriptions is a great idea. Right now medium sized networks don't have a viable way of monetizing their content. NBC, ABC, CBS, etc. etc. etc. all have Hulu, Netflix, Xfinity, etc. etc. etc. Players like Revision3, NextNewNetworks, Vuguru, GeekAndSundry, Nerdist...

How great websites become worthless... (Craigslist rant)

Expect this to change in a big bad way the next 3-12 months. YTs going to get an entire spam overhaul. They're: 1) starting paid subscriptions to top channels very shortly. 2) offering tighter integration with google+ and other social networks 3) integrating with google hangout 4) giving it a...

    Please enlighten me!

At least it's a step in the right direction. It's good that you're at least thinking to ask for needs to solve rather than doing whatever you feel like. Keep the mindset and talk to people in real life. Ask lots of questions. You'll find your way. Good luck

How great websites become worthless... (Craigslist rant)

While apartment hunting in Boston I run across the same thing... The same 4 Brokers posting the same 20 dream apartment pictures. The apartments shown aren't available and don't exist in the price range they advertise them for. It's all a big game to get you through the door so they can nab a...

Takes forever to program my site... Do you also have this problem?

    WEB/DIGITAL
I had the problem but I didn't learn to code. I hired somebody. worst mistake of my career. I spent 100% of what I had on a high end developer... sunk thousands and thousands into the guy when I was working a $9/hour job and had a passive income site on the side... by the end of the whole...

    Looking for a sanity check

That's great. It seems nobody's thinking of the end user right now.. everything's so complicated. You shouldn't have to do homework before you buy stock imagery. That's a really great selling point for you, and a great talking point for the people who will share you with others. I always...

    Looking for a sanity check

Well the package idea is great as far as productizing your photographs, but I think my main point there was a differentiating business model. I see MY business model (free education, paid for with product sales) as something you might want to look into. You can compete with istock photo if your...

    Need marketing advice

    MARKETING
I didn't take 5 minutes out of my life to type all that just for kicks. At least of what I quoted above, it's all legit and worth taking a second look at, not prejudice. Result of the update on my sites on the first page of G? They got stronger. Many people I regularly do business with are in...

    Need marketing advice

    MARKETING
    1) Don't your friends know how to register a forum account themselves to get marketing help? Sounds like they have plenty of free time 2) Hypnosis is humbug. Find people who believe in humbug. 3) Perhaps they can start selling magical crystals and power bracelets until things pick back up. How...

clipping coupons and killing your starbucks habit - takes you where?

-You make a habbit of drinking a $6 cup of coffee every morning "I need my coffee to wake me up! I work so hard throughout the day, I deserve this" -Then you buy a $9 pack of cigarettes for the day "What? Like you're a saint!" -You grab a $5 burger for lunch "A guy's gotta eat... it doesn't...

    A word about my J.O.B.

Feel free to PM me or email me what you're up to. I've helped my buddy go from working landscaping to making a fulltime living as a guitar instructor via video, I've gotten people go from 300 to 50K subscribers on youtube, and I've helped one person promote something inappropriate to discuss in...

    Fed Up of Getting Tired?

    MINDSET
I just went outside because my head felt "clogged". Took the alternate route. Looked at the things around me in greater detail than I normally do. Did absolutely NOTHING for me. I feel like I was thinking too much. What I really need is the opposite: to think a little less. To 'feel' and...

    A word about my J.O.B.

The part that I find most amusing is saying that you want to be out of that job as quick as possible. For the low low price of only $47 I will show you the quickest way out of that job. On a serious note.... There are just two questions I'm going to ask you: Q: Where do you want to be? Q: What...

    Fed Up of Getting Tired?

    MINDSET
I'm going to try this today. I've had a different take on this theory. I always feel it's a complete change in sensory perception that helps me. I've always called it 'resetting.' e.g. Swimming/Showering = being completely surrounded by water is a change in sensory perception Walking along the...

Starting a biz from scratch vs marketing existing biz

    MARKETING
I'd be very interested in hearing what you do with this. If you take notes while you do this and are successful I'd love to work with you to turn this into a video case study or course or something. Great stuff. That's actually the very first thing I did. I put together the internet's best...

Starting a biz from scratch vs marketing existing biz

    MARKETING
That means a lot for me to hear. I worked so hard on it and most the people who took the time to give me input were personal friends who 'didn't get it'. It's something I'm going to keep up and hope in-time it will become a huge traffic generator for my brand.
