Finally Entered the Fastlane - Hobby store & Ecommerce - Progress thread

    EXECUTION
The store is very small, it can only host 16 people for now. But I'm definitely into event management so I'll find a way to host them in other, bigger and better locations if possible!

Finally Entered the Fastlane - Hobby store & Ecommerce - Progress thread

    EXECUTION
Thank you! From what I believe, we are the best people at understanding our own needs. Out there, there are other people who are similar to us and have similar needs to ours. Therefore, if you provide a way to satisfy a need you have yourself, you will in the process satisfy those of others...

Finally Entered the Fastlane - Hobby store & Ecommerce - Progress thread

    EXECUTION
May Update April has actually been our record sales month with over €10k in revenue, which is interesting considering I've been away for most of it, maybe I should do it more often? Lol. Me and my wife went to see New York for a little over two weeks, it was a great experience and it's nice to...

Sometimes, and somewhere, getting a job is REALLY BETTER than build any kind of business…

    RANT
Sorry pal, Italian here. Most of your "facts" are just flat out incorrect. First of all, the numbers are wrong. You are 100% tax free up to €5000/year. Then, between €5k and €10k you should report your income but you don't need a VAT position yet because you qualify as an occasional worker like...

    Help me on the marketing

    MARKETING
I would start by relying on your community, word of mouth and whatnot, perhaps attending in person markets and such? There's a lot to do to match supply and demand here because you clearly can't grow a million berries out of the blue and they won't grow in certain seasons. I don't think you...

What do you do if you just got fired and one paycheck from broke in a third world country with lack of job opportunities apartheid and a high crime ra

    OFF-TOPIC
Try and find another job? What did you think we were going to recommend? Some secret sauce that solves all your problems immediately? There's isn't much else for you to do if you are in such a critical situation, what are you even doing on here?

Why does the Fast Lane feel so slow?

    MINDSET
I have a traditional brick and mortar store with an online presence but we don't have employees yet, just 4 founders taking turns when needed. To continue on my previous post, progress in anything is always slow, one rule of thumb I have is that whatever you try to do won't bear fruit until at...

Why does the Fast Lane feel so slow?

    MINDSET
100% agree, I feel the same way with my business. It also helps to take breaks if you are feeling overwhelmed/stressed out, my parterns are an incredible help in this regard. Life is definitely more exciting ever since we started!

From $1/hour to the Last Pistol: My Journey to Survive as a Mobile App Developer

    PEOPLE SAAS / APPS
In terms of business advice, the best I can give you is to not give up and keep trying, there's no shame in working a job while you grow your online presence, you can quit your day job once your online takes off. On another note, I was looking for a developer to finish a personal project I had...

Anyone who’ve made it in the meat business?

    PEOPLE QUESTION
I advise not money chasing and instead focusing on something you like, are interested in or an expert of. You can find success story for everything by googling "[industry name] millionaire", does that mean you should pursue all of them? Of course not, you should pursue what you are good at and...

Is taking a sales job the only 'rat race' resistant 9-5 for an entry level entrepeneur?

    SLOWLANE
You're young, it's okay to try things out and fail, do what you like to do and gain experience. The short answer to your question is that fastlaners don't join sales programs that promise 6 figures a year. Fastlaners offer sales programs that promise 6 figures a year, which translates to...

Are These Social Media Cold DM Benchmarks Realistic?

    SIDE HUSTLE
Ugh, sounds like trouble to me, been involved in a similar deal in the past. This process could easily be automated by using tools like zapier, it's stupid to spend 8 hours a day on this. Moreover, it's always a grey area when they are supposed to pay you and for what, leading to many scams. To...

    My confusion at age 19

    IDEA
According to a quick google search, a million is the country's average annual income. Making that in a month is really good but it's unclear how that amount was made. I second the suggestions you posted. Becoming an independent medical professional with your own office can also be a step up from...

    What would you do?

    INTRO
If you are desperate for money any job will do, why does it have to be online? Go see if some of the local restaurants need help and are looking to hire. Jeff Bezos once worked at a mcdonald's too, you do what you have to do depending on your situation. What are you doing here? Close this forum...

In search of a business idea

    IDEA SIDE HUSTLE QUESTION
Start with a problem you have yourself. If you solve an issue you personally know, you'll understand your customer perfectly. Doesn't have to be an issue either, it can just be value like a book, a movie or a videogame, as long as what I said above applies. I started like that and found...

    The tortoise and the hare…

    GOLD! EXECUTION
You can live like a king with only 1% of bill gates's wealth, it's your life after all and you can find happiness in whatever you want. To me, the fastlane is about freedom above all else. I can be as free as I want way before reaching multi-millionaire status so I won't go out of my way to seek...

Build a flash games website and run ads? Need your advice

    IDEA
A pong clone probably won't cut it but there's plenty of browser "dad games" that enjoy current success, the kind where you manage a city or move goods by train etc. and you can monetize them with in-game purchases (much better than ads).

Finally Entered the Fastlane - Hobby store & Ecommerce - Progress thread

    EXECUTION
April update We actually made around 7k in March despite not having taken part in any events, which have so far been our biggest bursts of income. This is interesting because it shows the business has potential even during slow months. This April we are starting our own tournament circuit and...

I don't know what to do

    RANT QUESTION
I'm sorry to hear about your situation, I can't say I relate but here's some things to consider: 1. do you wish to stay in Australia or would you rather go back to your home country? If you want to stay, it makes sense to finish studying, both because your parents are paying for it and because...
