MARKETINGAdded scrolling ticker to announcement bar and a hero section. Still more work to do. Edit: seems like this scrolling announcement code I got has some issues. Trying to figure that out. Edit 2: Used sidekick to generate new better code for scrolling announcement.- parabolic

My dad got diagnosed with bladder cancer today
OFF-TOPICMy friend was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer in February this year, just before his 42nd birthday. He has done chemotherapy and all of the other procedures that his oncologist has recommended. His body has responded really well to treatment and all of his numbers have improved...- parabolic

MARKETINGConversion rate is slightly down but it doesn't seem to be related to the changes I made. Email is converting less for some reason. We are also getting hit by a ton of Chinese bot and scammer traffic which is dragging down the total conversion rate.- parabolic

How would you turn a $400k–$500k inheritance into $2.5M+ within 10 years?
INVESTING QUESTIONTo be perfectly clear, I was joking. My real advice was right below the joke, and he ignored that. This guy doesn't take action on any advice that anyone gives. He even got personalized recommendations from MJ and still does nothing. He's been here for over three years and all of his posts...- parabolic

MARKETINGApparently I should have been more clear as some some details I assumed would be understood were not. I meant what is a good conversion rate for stores on Shopify. I guess to make it universal I could ask what is a good conversion rate for e-commerce in general. I understand I could...- parabolic

Progress thread - My metal record store (opened August 1, 2023)
EXECUTIONMay sales were not as strong as April, but that wasn't too surprising since we didn't present any shows in May. May did beat January, February and March though. So May 2026 is currently our second best month of all time. June is off to a good start. Looking more into pressing exclusive...- parabolic

The TikTok Chat Thread
MARKETING CHATSome of the reviews in the Shopify App Store are horrible. I'm going to continue to stay away for now. For now I will stick to using it the same way as Meta - a free marketing tool to push people to go to vinylcommand.com- parabolic

The TikTok Chat Thread
MARKETING CHATI started posting about two months ago and I don't pay attention to it as much as Instagram. I turned off push notifications so it wouldn't bug me. I opened it after seeing this thread and here's what I got for today. I guess it's working. I'll look further into TikTok shop. I had seen it...- parabolic
