    How To Find A Mentor

Great advice. Rep++ I guess the dilemma that people my age have is that most of us are only around teens our age, teachers and family members. I guess it depends largely on who your family is, but mine is far from business oriented or financially free. I'm going to keep the paragraph I quoted...

How can an entrepreneur find out if a product will sell?

Thank you for your help Fanocks! I'll check out the audio clip right now, but as far as your AdWords idea I'd like to just clarify on the details. Should I pay for AdWords and drive traffic towards a blank domain that I own and then install Google Analytics to see what kind of turnout I get...

    An Alternative to PayPal?

    WEB/DIGITAL
I've been reading around lately and I've found that there aren't many online store owners that are very fond of PayPal. There literally is a web site called "PayPal Sucks" that goes in depth about all the litigation against the business. The two reoccurring themes I've noticed is that people...

How can an entrepreneur find out if a product will sell?

Yeah I don't think my biggest problem is finding beat makers but instead the musicians who will buy the beats. I just sent about a dozen messages through myspace to different beat makers which doesn't seem like alot but I made all the message personalized so they would get back to me. I took...

How can an entrepreneur find out if a product will sell?

I'd like to paint a quick picture before I get to my question. I've been brain storming about multiple start-ups and most of them are product based which posses a huge problem for me because I'm moving into a dorm in three weeks. I had an awesome beer pong idea that Australian Investor and a few...

Owning a mall or shopping center

This is the fastlane in me talking: could an underfunded entrepeneur issue REITs himself? The entrepreneur would handle the mall development/purchase but it would be financed solely by the "stock holders." The stock holders would recieve most of the profit, but the entrepreneur could build a...

What will people pay for ?

I agree. Business to business offers huge opportunity. I think lead generation/marketing strategies fit this well especially with performance based advertising. I'll try to brainstorm more ideas about B2B and post back here.

    My X-Mas List of Books

Every year I make a a good sized list of books that gives my parent's an idea of what I'd like for Christmas. I've probably researched a hundred or so books in order to take it down to a quantity of 5-10 solid books. Here's my list so far and if you'd like to suggest one feel free and I might...

Young Growing Boy On a Quest For Success

I was very fortune to have read RDPD at age 14! It really did change my life too. It's more of a "what you can do" book, whereas this forum is the "how to."

ROI of 60%+ or am I crazy? (don't answer that lol)

    REAL ESTATE
The Richest Man in Babylon was an excellent book. I didn't really translate the theories like you did to real estate, but rather I thought the biggest theory I learned was that if you don't have enough money to invest, save everything. And that in most cases we can actually live off of less...

    Lookin Fastlane To Me!

    WEB/DIGITAL
I've been thinking about this concept for a while and it's very interesting. I think the maker of the hair salon idea is right that hair salons are a big hit because self employed hair stylists aren't very technical. This idea can probably be transferred to an industry like law or medicine...

The Tim Ferriss video is awesome! Well worth the time spent watching it.

    Lookin Fastlane To Me!

    WEB/DIGITAL
I agree with you. I think "easy" web site set-up services are extremely lucrative. Just look at Vollusion, who's had extreme growth and they were rated like #5 on the Inc. 500 Technology list. It doesn't look this type of site service would be terribly difficult to create. I think the biggest...

So you need a Web Developer? - My Experiences

    WEB/DIGITAL
Lighthouse, thank you for the advice. But servicefly, I've never exactly heard of web marketing experts. I've heard of people using marketing agencies but I wasn't aware of online ones. Would the web marketing plan include the different marketing strategies you could use within your budget...

    Packaging Question

I guess I'll give everyone an update here. The packaging for egg cartons was pretty cheap, but the more legitimate packaging costs more but that's not my biggest problem. The pad printing for the ping pong balls has me up around $175 a batch, which means I would have to charge over $1 a ball...

19 years old, Just 1 more step until I'm a Billionaire.

    HOT!
We don't know your specific idea which is understandable because you don't want the idea getting stolen. But the one thing I've learned is that VC funding isn't always a good thing and a good entrepreneur could boot strap the hell out of their business to make it successful. I remember a story...

    Packaging Question

Lighthouse, you make some good points. But here's what I found 25 Standard plastic egg cartons cost $11 I can also get clear cartons. They are sold in packages of 25 too, but they hold different quantities of six, eight, and twelve. There are all around the $16 area. I'm finishing my due...

Markets that are growing right now . . .

I think anti-aging is huge and so is fitness. Green/Energy go together. I think at one time the "Green Revolution" was a bunch of environmental activists, but now they've been joined by the huge energy population who has had to pay such high gas prices. Prices are down right now which is...

    Packaging Question

Thank you for the suggestions! For $12 I can get 50 new egg cartons. Would you guys suggest that I cut each carton in half so the package holds six balls each? Or should I just sell them in quantities of twelve?
