fukushima still leaking after 5 years
OFF-TOPICYou'd be surprised how much funding these researchers get outside of government sources. Most of the research is in Europe if I'm not mistaken, though.- Duane

fukushima still leaking after 5 years
OFF-TOPICI don't think fusion will ever be a realistic application. I'll explain, but it's going to be a little intensive. Fusion is the best and strongest way to harness energy. But the problem is, the profitability/efficiency will never match up. You can go in two different directions, profitability or...- Duane

fukushima still leaking after 5 years
OFF-TOPICComing from a person that has worked in every kind of power plant you can imagine (from coal plants to nuclear plants), I can say that nuclear plants are a lot safer and smarter than coal. The amount of life that is lost just from coal mining is sad. Plus, as Jonathan said, a lot more die in...- Duane

You arrive in new city. What business would you start and why?
I really dislike these scenario type things, cause it's very open ended and irrelevant. Which city you go to plays a MASSIVE part in what type of business you'd want to start. From there, there are a lot of what if's and best case scenarios you'd have to guess at in order to explain your...- Duane

Woodworking, Still Worth It?
I don't see this as a strong business, but instead a hobby that earns some extra income in your off hours. if you get famous in it, you can make your stuff and sell them for stupid high prices, but that's 1 in a million.- Duane

Whats the best Major/Minor for College?
These are two massively different directions. You'll never be happy if you follow the advice of some random guy on the internet telling you what to do. You gotta look inside yourself and find what YOU want to do, regardless of what anyone else says. But I'll put in my opinions of the two...- Duane

What's your Lambo? What's your WHY or PURPOSE?
NOTABLE! CHATIt's hard to show you a picture of my lambo, it hasn't been created yet :\ but I can show a condensed version from a lab. I wish to one day build a more efficient version of this into a full scale process with my team. These types of solar processes are what I feel is going to be the future in...- Duane

A Morning Routine.. Best Method Of The Highly Successful
HOT!I feel it depends on the person. I function better at night, that's where I do the majority of my reading and planning/online execution for growing the biz. I used to work out at night, but now I'm doing martial arts 3-4 times a week in the evening so I don't want to do gym and martial arts back...- Duane

A Morning Routine.. Best Method Of The Highly Successful
HOT!I do 5-10 mins with the water as cold as it gets. Do an intense work out and don't take a cold shower and you'll be sore as hell the next day. Then do the same thing and take a freezing cold shower when you're done, you won't be nearly as sore- Duane

A Morning Routine.. Best Method Of The Highly Successful
HOT!I don't think a solid morning routine correlates specifically to being successful, there are a ton of highly successful people that wake up at noon everyday. Just in general, I feel if you wake up early and start the day off with a good ritual it sets you up for a successful day full of...- Duane

A Morning Routine.. Best Method Of The Highly Successful
HOT!I didn't believe the reading part at first, so I decided to google how fast people can read.. Some people can read 1,000 words per minute. So you know, it is manageable if you're a gifted reader.- Duane

Hello all, new member here
INTROWelcome. I used to work a job inspecting welds, welders work some grueling hours. All of my work has been with steel though, not iron. I don't know if there is a big difference between the two mediums. I think a cleaning business is a great idea to execute on, just takes a lot of work to get...- Duane
