Do I really need to file for an LLC to do business?

LLC's are a state level oversight. Each state has decided what it costs them to oversee and create each new entity. Similar to what Scot said above. Different states get their revenue through different methods.

Do I really need to file for an LLC to do business?

I will chime in, even though I am not a lawyer (not legal advice, seriously don't take legal advice from strangers on the Internet) and it seems to be too late. Possibly for future reading and others benefit. You don't "need" an LLC, but there can be some benefits. Legal: If you don't follow...

Why Control is a Must: Don't lose 2/3 your income in 1 month

Hello everyone, My business is turning south due to a lack of control. I am hoping to help someone who is early in their idea and execution phase or someone who has little control and hasn't searched out other options to listen to what MJ says. I started my first business in flipping cell...

HOW TO: Search for and buy domain names before your registrar does

I use easywhois.com due to their no front running policy. I recommend them if you have a tinfoil hat or just concerned about someone else using your search data. Your computer pings are likely still visible to your isp, but this is beyond my scope of expertise.

Anyone recommend a good Trademark and Patent attorney

I recommend Frank Natoli. He will respond quickly and is knowledgeable. Leave a message on his number from Avvo and he will get back to you the same day (or at least he did with me).

Where I have been this time... and why I'm famous at Wells Fargo

    GOLD! MINDSET
For personal development I am thinking success magazine, think and grow rich, or other similar genres among the mindset and motivation material. It seems like you are calling Tony Robins out, I understand there is some crap, but how do I filter who is crap vs who is worth listening to? I do want...

    GOLD! MINDSET
Lol, I feel like I am being called out. Would you say all personal development is worthless? Should all learning be around skill building? As I thought about it, most of the encouragement to buy self dev stuff is from those who sell it. Would you say the same about life coaches? I think I still...

Money Management Habit - How to Save or Blow Money

    NOTABLE! MINDSET
Came for the budgeting, impressed by the savings rate. Is a savings rate of 70% typical? I guess I need to raise my bar for earnings. Do you recommend putting it all in an IRA? If so, should I do that as someone who is young? I thought the goal was to retire soon. I will likely sign up for...

Being a Realtor as a side hustle, I would have been very surprised 40% under list price. Just proves what you can get when you are unemotional with a purchase.

I definitely challenge convention and am willing to take calculated risks and am willing to take high risks for high rewards. I have seen some areas where fear has held me back as well. Thank you for the food for thought.

I certainly got a lot out of the post and thread. Thank you for taking the time. I wonder what makes you a cut above the rest as others have said. Is it your morals, drive, knowledge, something else? I am just curious what they see and possibly I can grow in that area. Regardless, great story...

    I've Read The Millionaire Fastlane!

    GOLD! HOT!
Went back and finished the chapters I initially skipped. At least one person has read the book from my recommendation. I think I have a 25% close ratio going. Good information. As a math whiz, I don't know why I couldn't think of the wealth formula on my own. Thanks MJ

Burnout, Lack of Productivity, or Lack of Motivation?

    MINDSET
Tough truth with the intrinsic motivation. I think my motivation is typically skin deep. I am trying to figure out how to schedule my life well. I understand long hours do not equal productivity. What is a good schedule to have for that? If I am honest, my schedule is all over the place...

Burnout, Lack of Productivity, or Lack of Motivation?

    MINDSET
Hi There, I am wondering what a healthy work and rest cycle is while in the fast lane. I know different people will be able to function differently along those lines, but I have a tendency to overwork myself to the point of burnout. Should I plan to do this, then just take time off when it...
