Stopping Frivolous Lawsuits BEFORE They Happen?

I tend to lean this way as well. Mostly from the personal health perspective. You clearly seem bothered by the stress this gives you. You only live once, why do something for a living you don't enjoy? There are multiple ways to earn money in RE - you don't need to just pursue one source. If...

    Minimalist lifestyle?

    OFF-TOPIC
I've been traveling now for 6 weeks. I've been in the US (NC), St Martin, Anguilla, back to the US (NC) and Washington DC. Still just a backpack. Nothing beats the minimalist feeling.

Banking in Belize - Cost prohibitive need Advice

I no longer offer Belize banking to clients for this reason (and many others you will soon find out if you haven't already). We actually have an office in Belize now for corporate services and trusts, but still don't do Belize banking unless absolutely necessary. To be honest, there isn't much...

    TAXES | REGS
Thanks for the vote of confidence. Yes we offer initial consultations and full coaching. And yes, we sell stuff to our mailing list. Guilty as charged. We make money. Side note, we don't push people for an international lifestyle. We do offer many solutions for people who are looking...

Using Offshore Holding Company To Avoid Tax

    TAXES | REGS
You are correct, one must be very careful with using an offshore/onshore structure purely for shifting profits for personal use. You need a legitimate business purpose. For example owning IP in your offshore company and having your onshore company pay a lease. This is also true. You...

Using Offshore Holding Company To Avoid Tax

    TAXES | REGS
I wouldn't advise HK as it is expensive to set up and maintain. The exception is if you have huge clients and need a more reputable address for your client invoices then you can consider HK or SG. Otherwise I'd advise going pure offshore. Much simpler and less costly to set up and maintain.

What Do I Do with all the Money I made?

    HOT! INVESTING
Actually it is not at all uncommon for successful entrepreneurs to be ignorant about investing. If you are really good at your business, you got that way by focusing on the thing that makes you money. But that doesn't mean you are an expert in reading financial statements or analyzing a stock...

How many of you moved from EU -> US?

    OFF-TOPIC
My quality of life is much higher in Eastern Europe. Cost of living is at least 30% less. Living as an expat gives me huge tax benefits, furthering my cost of living benefits. My businesses require good internet connection, good cell phone service, and good local airport. Internet speeds...

Using the "Dead Cat Bounce" to invest

    INVESTING
Great. While I obviously have not tested this, it does sound like you have a solid system to limit your losses and take advantage of gains. Most people only focus on the gain and forget to limit the losses. This is critically important to focus on minimizing losses.

Oil Hits A Low Of 81.32!

    INVESTING
Saudis increased supply. Their oil is cheaper to produce than Canada's oil (tar sands), so they are primarily trying to outprice Canada for the North American import market. The US has record amounts of oil/gas reserves, thus importing less oil/gas. Additionally, as previously noted, Russia...

Using the "Dead Cat Bounce" to invest

    INVESTING
Sounds like you should consider some technical analysis training. The "dead cat bounce" concept is well known, but you should be a bit more knowledgeable about it as a trading philosophy. Many stocks can trade in this technical pattern, but it is not a good idea to use this solely as your...

    Giving out EIN

They can look up in the Secretary of State records the status of your llc/corp. Very simple. I would not provide the ssn/ein in this case. You do have an identity theft concern here.

How many of you moved from EU -> US?

I moved from the US to EU several years ago. Moved back to US and couldn't stand it. Moved to EU again almost 4 years ago. Much happier now.

Why Bitcoin will do to banking what the cell phone did to communication

    WEB/DIGITAL
the way banks make money is more nefarious than you can likely imagine. And none of us probably fully understand the reality of it. In the US, banks borrow money from the Federal Reserve (right now the interest rate is nearly zero percent). In addition to that you and I deposit our money with...

Why Bitcoin will do to banking what the cell phone did to communication

    WEB/DIGITAL
Right now you are probably right. Btc is primarily adopted by libertarians and criminals, but every movement since the beginning of time started with a lead group. The reality is that it is and can be valuable for virtually everyone. Yesterday I received a wire to my non-US bank account...

Is a CPA good enough for setting up an LLC?

I don't know where you are "in the game", but certainly if you are a new business owner your first priority should be customers.

Is a CPA good enough for setting up an LLC?

With an LLC you can elect S or C corp tax status while retaining the liability protection offered with an LLC.

Is a CPA good enough for setting up an LLC?

To some extent it is a matter of scale, but I only used 100k/m as an example. If your business has significant assets, but a low income, there are other ways as well. For example, you can have your asset (machinery, IP, etc) owned by a WY or NV LLC and lease it to your PA LLC. This protects...

Is a CPA good enough for setting up an LLC?

NV also has series LLCs. I cannot answer your question as there is nowhere near enough detail. If you have nexus in your home state, then you would need to register as a foreign entity in that state (you normally would have nexus if you have an operating biz). But there can be other...
