I'm loving these shorts @Andy Black, I've been giving them a swerve but you've inspired me to give them a shot. I wonder how you got a retention rate of 108%? People rewatching? Are you enjoying producing shorts or does it feel like a necessary evil?

I think the production quality on your video is brilliant. You come across at ease, and more importantly to me, as a expert as your not trying to find words. It doesn’t appear scripted to me at all. I’m going to give my teleprompter a go this afternoon, I’ll upload the video to YouTube and put...

Good Question. I perhaps didn’t think that through. My initial thoughts would be building up your YouTube Channel where the content can last. I’m not sure how long LinkedIn videos will be available or if you have a library where people can find all your content? Unless you can build a Channel...

if LinkedIn are prioritising Videos we’ll have to work out the best way to use it to our advantage. LinkedIn tends to penalise posts with links in them (hence the number of link in the first comments posts). Perhaps a short video preview (60 seconds) and then a link in the first comment to the...

I’ve literally just bought a Teleprompter so I can record better videos too! I’ve found that sometimes the content you don’t think has that much value actually has the most value. Something I struggle with often is getting out of my own head, just because something seems quite obvious and...

Boring Businesses Really Do Make Money.

    IDEA SIDE HUSTLE MINDSET
A friend of mine had a window cleaning business and did really well. Round our way (North West England) the average price is £5 a house. But there’s 30 houses on our road and I reckon he does the lot in less that 2 hours easy.

There is such a wealth of tools at our fingertips now it’s fantastic. Even for people like me who don’t code you can produce 99% of what you need with Clicks not Code. It’s truly a amazing and exciting time to be building your own thing. I’m not sure if anyone else has the problem of shiny...

I 100% agree with the no fluff element. I’ve produced a online course that is selling well and the number 1 feedback is always about how it is straight to the point. I consider it a value skew - save the customer time by cutting the crap and telling them/showing them what they need to know...

Hey @Andy Black, I’m really excited to follow your progress here, YouTube is definitely something I want to master too. It’s a massive search engine and is perfect for my audience as I do a lot of screen sharing to walk people through how-to’s. I was wondering what your thoughts are on...

Hey Gary! Nice to meet you, I’m a fellow Brit based in the North West of England. Reading your intro post was a lot like reading my own story, I’ve tried multiple things since I was about 20 and have never found that one thing that works. I’ve since doubled down on a idea I’ve had in the...

    GOLD! HOT! MINDSET
Listening to this Podcast was really helpful for realigning my objectives and plan. I have a post it note on my monitor stating “Who have you helped today?” to remind me that it’s the most important thing to growing a business.

I went with Camtasia in the end. Had a couple of dealings with their Support Team and was impressed with how they handled any questions so that sold it to me. Used it for a couple of hours yesterday and have to say I’m impressed. I think it will be a excellent piece of kit for my courses...

I spent 60 minutes with one of their tech guys to figure out the issue. It was due to a update with the exported yesterday morning, there is a new codec or something. He sent me a link to download the old one and voila, no issues. Have to say, the tech support was first class. Especially as I...

I’ve tried various mics, at the moment I’m using a Yeti X. Have used a Samson Q2U too. Once I move house and can set up my studio/office as I want I may go with a shure but at £300+ they’re probably the most expensive option. Especially as I’ll need to invest in the interface too. I use a...

I was hoping for a all in one solution rather than having to use multiple apps. I've used Loom before but I need something a little more powerful. The other option is getting a powerful video editor but I was hoping to avoid that Thanks for the suggestions.

Hey Everyone, I've been bundling along with OBS and HitFilm for making my courses but I can't seem to quite nail the Audio how I want it. OBS Audio Settings/Filters can be a pain in the a$$ to get right which either results in background noise, loud keyboard sounds, missing the start of words...
