Product idea was taken, what to do next?

    IDEA
Attorneys are expensive, and at this stage, possibly unnecessary. You should be able to find their patents yourself via Google patent search. All patents have holes--various ways you can tweak your product idea, functionality, etc. Also, patents don't prevent anyone from copying a product/idea...

    Very lost and feel hopeless

    INTRO
Action is the antidote. And, don't worry about being rejected by McDonalds. Many years ago, I was rejected by AOL for an entry-level job--couldn't even get an interview. Within a year, I became one of the top tech support people at a software startup--despite having no formal tech training or...

    EXECUTION
Maybe I missed that piece about running ads to the MVP. That's one way to validate. Actually talking with potential customers will give you the kind of qualitative data that can shine a light on some of the things that online metrics can't tell you--things like why or why don't users like...

Ideas that have already been done

    IDEA
You don't necessarily need a new idea or an idea for something that's never been done; often those can be harder, since you may have to educate the market. Value skew (and whether you can create it) is a different way to look at opportunities.

    EXECUTION
Thinking we know what the market wants, without testing our assumption, is dangerous--even seasoned entrepreneurs are often wrong. I'd urge you to reconsider; the time you invest in talking to potential customers is invaluable. If you find that no one is interested, that's actually a great...

    Mind Training Pitch Deck Feedback

You might want to read Oren Klaff's "Pitch Anything" and/or look at his videos/webinars. He's used his method to raise millions in capital, is an excellent copywriter, and has a nontraditional approach to pitching that's built on neuropsychology.

My first ten weeks..where I go next.

Congrats on getting paid with your side hustle! So, both my teens work as tutors at a local tutoring biz. That biz tutors kids ages 6-18. The most profitable are kids who want tutoring for ACT/SAT college test prep. The owner of the biz sounds similar to you: she's great at tutoring, but needs...

HELP: I wrote lyrics to a country song

Also, relying on 1 of anything is perlious--1 song, 1 client, 1 prospect, whatever. It creates a scarcity mindset. Instead, what if you had 30, 50, or 100 songs/clients/prospects? Then, if you lose one, it's not a big deal--you've got a portfolio of opportunity in your quiver.

HELP: I wrote lyrics to a country song

You might want to read "The Song Machine: Inside the Hit Factory" by John Seabrook; it details how songwriters/producers essentially factory-ized songwriting--having lots of people producing lots of songs, then seeing what sticks. On a related note (no pun intended), I've seen a similar theme...

Hello. I am a student who lives in Korea.

    INTRO
Ah, interesting--I didn't realize that. OK, so next, you said you want advice for your idea. Can you give us a general sense of what it is? You don't have to say the exact specifics, but we can give you better guidance if you tell us something about it, even in a general sense.

    Balancing 9-5 and business

Depending on your job (and your, uh, ethical "flexibility"), you might be able to siphon some of your time from your day job to work on your side hustle/business--unless you're like an air traffic controller, surgeon, etc. J.K. Rowling wrote during her teaching job, and other business owners...

    Hi!

    INTRO
Oh, the irony. :) Dude, you've got some valuable skills. Even if you think solely about the expertise of designing parts to optimize for strength while minimizing weight. Who else wants what you can provide? Rockets, race cars, etc. How can you help them--not as an employee, but as a business...

What high income skill should I learn to make money online?

I get it, and being in a situation like that will cloud your thinking. Scarcity narrows your focus so that all you think about it money. That's natural. BUT: You need to acknowledge those scarcity/money-chasing thoughts, and compartmentalize them so that they're no longer your sole focus...

    Mass Niche email list

Think about who the people are who are on your email list: what do they want/need/desire and/or need help with? Then give it to them. The more targeted your niche, the easier it is to identify what your niche wants.

Where do you work from? Home vs Office

When I first started out, I worked either from home (so long as the kids weren't around), or from a coffee shop (if I didn't need to make calls), or my car (for making calls). Now, I have a small office near my house, but also work at coffee shops (being around other people makes it less likely...

    Red pill, down the hatch

    INTRO
If the website is a straightforward website and/or its functionality can be done using Wordpress, then build it yourself. You'll learn a ton, which will help if you need to outsource later--it's WAY easier to outsource something you know how to do, rather than trying to hand off something & hope...
