Struggling to find product-market fit for a web app how did you guys solve a lack of product-market fit for your product?

    EXECUTION FEEDBACK
Did you check if you already had existing competitors? If no one else is doing that, it might be an indicator the market isn't interested in what you're trying to put together. It would probably be a lot easier for you to pick an industry that you are familiar with (and preferably have...

    Observations From Around the Globe

    OFF-TOPIC
Years ago someone at a bar told me a story about his trip to Vietnam with a friend. He said that they were drunk and some native with a TukTuk asked them "you want to blow up cow?". Since they were drunk, they found it hilarious and agreed. The TukTuk guy ended up taking them out apparently out...

How to find an ideal Salesperson?

    SIDE HUSTLE
Johnny Boy covered a bunch of key points, but one thing I'll add as someone who supported sales teams as an analyst is that depending on the nature of your business and what specific type of sales person you're trying to hire (sales dev rep, biz dev rep, account exec, etc) - you should ask them...

Anyone using Go High Level (GHL)?

    CHAT
Andy one thing that I've heard people complain about with GoHighLevel is that it's difficult or impossible to send data data back to Google's enhanced conversions or Facebook's conversion API. I've heard that you're basic limited to applying the pixels on your site, which can get blocked by ad...

Fastlane business worth it if can make decent salary in big tech/FAANG?

    SIDE HUSTLE
This post reads like you're really asking for permission to stay on your current career path, so in that case I'd just say stick on that path. There are a few deca-millionaires and I believe centi-millionaires on this forum - and you won't get to that in most jobs (unless you want to wait 30+...

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Random Chat Thread...

    CHAT - AI -
Yeah, and I say this as someone who finds LLM very useful. For those that didn't read it, the TLDR is: 1) These companies lose an insane amount of money (billions) every year 2) The economics of these businesses don't indicate that there is any reason to believe that they will be profitable in...

For anyone with some technical skills, clay is basically just google sheets + Zapier + AI. It can be really useful for outbound marketing because you basically knit a bunch of data vendors together in a spread sheet and add AI. It's really useful and there is a lot of hype around it.

    What advice should be ignored?

    QUESTION
when it comes to listening or ignoring advice, I think some of the most important things to consider are 1) the motivations and 2) the experience of the advisor Like when I see people shilling doomsday stories about AI, I just assume that their motivations are to get more attention or make...

Using ChatGPT? AI Could Damage Your Critical Thinking Skills, According to a Microsoft Study

    NEWS
Technology is basically a multiplier. It makes dumb people dumber, and smart people smarter.
