    HOT! CHAT
I'm testing simple texting at the moment. It's annoying having to wait for some bureaucrat to stamp a document to use technology. This must be how Europeans feel.

Does anyone here use twilio or a similar service? I'm trying to set up a web app that sends text messages to existing clients, not new ones, and twilio is requiring me to wait until they approve my campaign before I can send sms. Amazon SNS does the same. I'm trying to find a solution that I...

Danger? Personal Guarantees on Business Loans...

Yeah. He personally guaranteed the loans, so when his business went under, his creditors were able to go after his personal assets This guy talked about how ugly creditors can get: View: https://twitter.com/ErikKaiser/status/1669736643043966977

I have half a million liquid. Is there any standard business I can start that gets me 10% to 20% returns?

    INVESTING
Edit: Apparently Colin Keeley ripped off Ryan Kulp's course which you can get for free here: Acquire.com Academy - How to Buy, Grow, and Sell Startups . I just found this out after I originally recommended Colin's course (which I did buy, watch, and enjoy), but after recommending it in a slack...

Homeschooling your kids, yah or nay?

    OFF-TOPIC CHAT
My cousins are 6 & 8 and you can have real conversations with them too. It's disgusting how incompetent some adults are. Teenagers led armies in the past. Kids can do a lot more than they are given credit for today. Joined an army at 11, commanded a captured ship at 12 - David G. Farragut

I am 18 years old and have a business idea. Do you think it will work

    IDEA
You don't need a hefty amount of capital to run Facebook ads. If you want to sell a proven product (shampoo is a proven evergreen product), you can study their audiences, their ads, their landing pages, and their product description and run a decent demand test for $100-$500. The purpose is to...

Starting (and Fastlaning) a lawn care service business

    GOLD! HOT!
responding to an old post in case it is useful: I'll just assume that you have a spreadsheet with crew name (column A), customer address (column b), arrival time (column c), and departure time (column d). All column titles are in row 1. You sort that data by crew / arrival time. You then make...

I am 18 years old and have a business idea. Do you think it will work

    IDEA
Make a shopify store and use facebook ads to drive traffic there. Use mock product images. See if you get anyone to purchase. If you do, then refund the money and email them saying thank you for their purchase, but you're currently out of stock and reordering. If your ROAS is high enough, then...

Think I'm a "Heavy Hitter?" Raise Your Expectations.

    MINDSET
There are small pharmacy chains (less than 100 stores) that do hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenue. There is a preposterous amount of money in the US. Endless opportunity.

    TikTok vs. Instagram

    MARKETING
Not in the game anymore, though I had some experience when trying to build a tiktok analytics SaaS. Basically, TikTok's algorithm prioritizes quality content independent of the account. If people like, comment, share, etc a video, the algorithm will push it to other users, regardless of who...

MARKETING SCALING SAAS / APPS EXECUTION
@kody.kendall awesome work man, congrats. Adding tech to service businesses has huge upside (see Johnny Boy's threads). A few comments: 1) Mention who the target market at the top of your landing page so that when they get to your site, they immediately know that your site is for them. 2) Add...

What is the best way to monetize this highly perishable niche pet product?

    IDEA
A lot of pet owners are insane, to the point at which people buy beer specifically made for dogs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FFLDCGW/?tag=tff-amazonparser-20 https://www.rover.com/blog/beer-for-dogs/ There is also perfume for dogs. Ice cream for dogs. Designer clothing for dogs...

    Is this strategy entirely wrong?

    MINDSET QUESTION
That other 70% isn't even guaranteed. I was listening to the Andy Frisella podcast with where Tim Grover (famous basketball strength coach) was talking about how people will tell you that you always have time. He got choked up talking about Kobe's untimely death (his long time client / friend)...

This one thing is JUST as important as solving a need

    MARKETING
You can't do all of that with one tool, but you can use tools that do more of that in one. After you set up your domains with GoDaddy + Gmail, you can connect that account tools like apollo or ZoomInfo to verify and send emails. Though, apollo doesn't do a grab job with verification. And...

Forum update coming, what do you want?

    HOT! IMPORTANT!
I just came to this thread to mention this. Biophase had a post a few days ago about the tax considerations of buying and selling a website and I thought "it would be great if there was a way to get a list of all these great one off posts in one spot". Perhaps you could just auto-populate a...
