Income streams on a three-month rhythm

    SIDE HUSTLE
Have you thought about entering the online courses market with your own IT-related courses? You could build up a few short ones on the likes of Skillshare whilst also selling longer versions on Udemy or even launch your own online school with Teachable or a similar provider. It would allow you...

Mediocrity of the slowlane is getting embarrasing

    SLOWLANE INTRO
I don't think the figure can be correct unless they assume you also receive the state pension on top. It seems way too low. That said it was a study by academics and we know how out of touch they can be. Interesting that they included a Netflix subscription in their calculations. Further down...

    Creating a Thriving Personal Brand w/ YouTube - A Journal & A Personal Guide.

    GOLD! HOT!
I came to this thread after it was recommended by @Andy Black. Having read through it over a few days it's very inspirational. I'm genuinely chuffed for you (for anyone reading this who is not from the North of Engalnd that means delighted). You've created a great channel and having watched a...

What book are you reading? Right now. Post up!

    NOTABLE! HOT! BOOKS CHAT
Don't forget to sign up for the Huit Denim newsletter to see what it looks like and how they run it. It makes a lot of the book fall into place and you start to have your own ideas to improve your newsletter. I now spend as much time curating other content as I do developing my own. My...

    Figuring Out YouTube

    HOT! EXECUTION
I think the changes look like a good idea and are worth testing. One thought about the "Google Ad Playlist" was that it made me think it was a warning that this content includes Google Ads. Would it be better to use something like "Google Ads Tips" for example? It was just my immediate reaction...

Why does MJ tell the truth? Lying would make him more money.

    HOT!
Time is priceless and I wouldn't swap my life for a billion pounds (I'm British). One day you might realise that beyond a certain point more money is just a number. Having more of something that you have enough of doesn't improve your life; it won't buy you more time or pleasure (although...

Most Efficient Way of Moving Money Across Borders?

Do you need to make the payment direct to Montenegro? You can set up a EUR account with Wise in say France that belongs to you and you pay the money to that account. Your own bank account in Montenegro is then linked to your EUR account in France to withdraw the money. Have you contacted Wise...

    Figuring Out YouTube

    HOT! EXECUTION
If it were me looking at this problem, I would start a dedicated new channel and put my efforts into that, especially if your old channel has a wide range of topics. The growth rate of your old channel will be hard to break out of unless you have a succession of hot videos when YouTube will...

[PROGRESS THREAD] ChickenHawk's Self-Published Fiction EBooks

    GOLD!
Would you sign up for a fiction author newsletter if it means you had sneak previews of new releases? How about short stories that will never be released other than to subscribers through the newsletter? What about the chance to win a 30 minute "virtual coffee" with the author where they share...

[PROGRESS THREAD] ChickenHawk's Self-Published Fiction EBooks

    GOLD!
I hear you and I do understand your position because I was once where you are. I know you can succeed if you are pulling a good Gross figure which it sounds like you are. I'm sure you've heard the phrase the gold is in the list. It is because that's where your true fans are. You already have a...

[PROGRESS THREAD] ChickenHawk's Self-Published Fiction EBooks

    GOLD!
I'm new to the Fast Lane Forum and British, so I might not be understanding everything in this thread correctly. But I do understand Amazon Publishing. DON'T GIVE UP. I've been publishing on Amazon since 2012. In 2017 I closed down my other business (very profitable but a big demand on my...

    Question About Passive Lifestyle Model

It's a while since I read TFM but I'm sure that it will be based on drawings you make from the business. At least that's what I've always done. The priority is usually to feed the growing business until you reach the level where it makes sense to make drawings. Either you're earning more than...

    Figuring Out YouTube

    HOT! EXECUTION
That's an interesting video. A friend and I have channels we started at around the same time and we often talk about our success or lack of. YouTube is much more competitive now but we also think there is a relevancy algorithm being employed. Initially, YT doesn't know what to make of your...

    Figuring Out YouTube

    HOT! EXECUTION
There are downsides to scripts. It's very difficult to read a script if you appear on camera because it doesn't look natural. You don't see me in most of my videos so it isn't a problem. You also need to work hard to not sound like you're reading a script. This is one reason I record the sound...

    Figuring Out YouTube

    HOT! EXECUTION
Hi Andy, I'm new on here but have been doing YouTube for a few years as a way to support tutorials on my website. You have some interesting videos and your comment about Brian Dean caught my attention as I know his work. Your point about starting with a good script is spot on and it often...
