Overwhelmed with Apps, finally burned out...

    WEB/DIGITAL
I think if you try to "time the market" you'll get fleeced. I mean if it's already trending you're too late. In regards to Frozen, you would have to been in development while the movie was in development and timed the release of the game to coincide with the movie release. I don't know if that's...

You're welcome man! If I come across anything else that no one else has suggested I'll be sure to share it. This is something I'm keenly aware of right now too. lol Oh, one thing; I'm not sure if this was mentioned yet but you should begin your efforts before release. I believe that it was...

I really look forward to reading your progress thread. I've just started my own game project. I'm working on the proto now and it's the reason I've been radio dark for a few days. I've been meaning to start my own PT. Be that as it may, I'm developing using Unity3d. The reason I mention this is...

More power to him! I wasn't sure what to make of all this: https://www.thefastlaneforum.com/community/threads/youtubers-the-new-rock-stars.61273/ But, I'm beginning to get it. My daughter looks up these peeps and wants to emulate them. She's Fastlane without really knowing it. LOL

I should probably clarify that it's in my main (Slowlane) business. I'm an IT consultant. So it's not Google or Paypal or anything like that. One short, seemingly innocuous sentence in a contract bit me on the a$$.

Oh for sure! Rather than take action, I'll overthink things and put them off. Or worst case, talk myself out of it. I've got my demons and this is one of the worst. That, and embarrassment by failing miserably and publicly. I'm quickly getting over that crap though. Thanks in large part to MJ...

Are People With High IQs More Successful?

    HOT!
It's funny that you mention Feynman because I was thinking of a physics analogy. Potential intelligence, as tested by IQ tests, can be likened to potential energy. The potential is there but without the needed action or release, it goes nowhere. I shoot bow, and when the bow is fully drawn it...

Agreed. There's a Chinese proverb that says "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the second best time is Now". So stop putting it off. Now, that being said, I've read a book recently ( I think it was Choose Yourself, by James Altrucher) and he makes a point of discussing what...

    YouTubers, the new Rock Stars?!

    WEB/DIGITAL
Right on. Good stuff. There's got to be a lesson in there somewhere for sure. It's certainly something to try to emulate at least on a fundamental level. Regardless if you are using it as your primary form of connection with your base or as a adjunct to your other activities, i.e. Twitter, FB...

    YouTubers, the new Rock Stars?!

    WEB/DIGITAL
I asked my daughter when I was outside getting a fire ready in the backyard and she said basically the same thing; They're entertainers. At 12 she probably understands that media better than I. lol As far as 'why' their form of entertainment is well entertaining, @jason91 your answer makes...

    YouTubers, the new Rock Stars?!

    WEB/DIGITAL
I apologize for the length of this. Tl;DR at the bottom. I can't seem to get all these YouTubers who are famous for ... what? I just don't know or can't get my head wrapped around it. Then again I don't know why the Kardashians are a thing either. On top of it my daughter wants to become one...

    Self Improvement

    MINDSET
Good stuff! I'll be sure to pay attention to this thread. I'm very much into self-improvement and I believe that I've evolved to become the person I am today from that study and it's adoption into my life. But I still have a ways to go before I reach "nirvana" lol. Like you said, don't ignore...

My receptionist has too much free time. What can I have her do?

If she's interested in growing then I'd help her to become more valuable to my company. Whatever that may mean to you. I don't know what you do so I can't make specific suggestions. Does she have any innate talents your company could utilize? Like if she has a great phone voice and is...

    WTF does Tai Lopez do?

Oh crap, that's funny! If I ever met Tai I have to thank him. It was this post that I found while googling his name. The rest is history.

    Finding a honest partner.

I completely agree with @Tiago. I'm sour on partnerships after I saw what happened to my dad when his partner screwed him out of his business, but that's a story for another thread, and in reality it was my dad's fault by being too trusting. Whatever you do, do not, I repeat do not do anything...
