Best entity to hold a blog?

Actually, according to our health teacher, that's counter-productive. Bad example! ;) Just playin'...the example made me laugh! :)

    Running A Marathon!

    MINDSET
Sorry for wording that poorly, SteveO. I just said that because I've dreaded running my entire life. I've never been a fitness guy. I don't like working out either. When I need some exercise, I usually play tennis, baseball, basketball, or football. Running and working out have always seemed...

    Running A Marathon!

    MINDSET
Rep+++ That's awesome. I've never been a runner. I've never understood how one can "enjoy" running. I do love baseball, though, and I'm a pitcher just like you now. Feel free to PM/IM me; I always love to talk about it. It's awesome that you set a goal and accomplished it. To me, that's...

    WOOT Go Arizona!!!

    OFF-TOPIC
I don't mind TO has a public figure. He's similar to Chad Johnson. They may run their mouths, but they aren't criminals. TO is actually a pretty good guy according to a lot of people who know him, but he just gets viewed in the wrong light by the media. You can take that whichever way you want...

    WOOT Go Arizona!!!

    OFF-TOPIC
Yep. Sports are more mental than anybody who hasn't played them will believe. If it was strictly up to talent, Randy Moss would have 200 yards and 3 TDs every game. Focus and motivation are just as important as talent in sports. In some sports, losing focus for just one play (or batter in...

Opportunity in Bad Times .... Better?

    MINDSET
There are always opportunities. I'm not going to answer the poll because I don't really think my response is offered there. There are still definitely opportunities, but they are DIFFERENT opportunities. As MJ said, people are more focused on their basic needs. However, that does not mean...

    WOOT Go Arizona!!!

    OFF-TOPIC
Yeah, but that receiver was Andre Johnson. The dude's a beast. I think TO is more of a possession receiver that catches slants and then makes big plays after the catch as opposed to making spectacular catches on jump balls like that.

Business Choice: Donny Deutsch -- He seems like a cool, down-to-Earth guy. He seems genuine, and because of his show, I think he's probably learned a good amount that he could share. He just seems like he'd be easy to get along with, and I think it'd be a good time. Non-Business Choice...

    It's playoff time!!!

    OFF-TOPIC
Yeah, Johnny Damon is a prime example of that. I've heard he's a great guy, but he was one of their leaders while he was there. It's definitely not as heated as it once was, but I think the money is just too much to pass up nowadays, whereas 30 years ago it wasn't nearly as much.

    WOOT Go Arizona!!!

    OFF-TOPIC
Yup, their line is gonna have to step up. For their sake, the Cowboys will probably have to lean on Barber more now. I think Felix is injured now, but I could be wrong. Maybe TO and Witten will get more action now, too.

Agreed on both accounts. I hate the Red Sox, but it's because I respect them a lot. They're a great, well-run organization, and I have a lot of respect for most of their players. The fact that they've been good teams in recent years has been great for baseball. It's not a rivalry without good...

    Hello friends.

No problem. :) There's another 15 year-old (I think) that just joined, too. There are also others under-18 here. Have any interests that'll propel you into the Fastlane yet?

    Hello friends.

Welcome! I'm 17 now, but I was 16 when I joined. I know how ya feel. This is one hell of a place; take advantage of that.

I'd have to agree with you. At least in my lifetime, nothing has rivaled it. I still hate how people dislike Torre as a manager. My Facebook status right now is actually "Ryan loves Joe Torre."

    Crash Course: Current Economy

Thanks a lot for these, Russ. I bought the first one to put on my iPod and listen to while I cleaned my dad's office earlier, and it was very, very good. I'm going to buy the second one to listen to when I go next week. +++

Cashman is the reason we have a future. For all those years after the "dynasty" of the late 90s, Steinbrenner pressured Cashman to spend on all those free agents. Cashman himself would have preferred to keep things a bit more home-grown (like the way it was done when we were winning), but...
