    Figuring Out YouTube

    HOT! EXECUTION
Thanks Andy. I like this approach at the end of the video and it should work well to gain more subscribers. I think that I'm going to try this myself when I have a video that doesn't naturally link to another of my videos. I've also finished adding my book offer to the video description of all...

That makes a lot of sense and I'm looking forward to reading your progress. I also took a look at some of your video descriptions and I think you could do with adding a little more: 1. I think you would benefit from including search keywords in the description and titles to help people find...

Thanks. I don't usually listen to podcasts but I've added these to a list to listen to. There's a lot of good information. I've already seen some of my metrics improve after following the advice in the Film Booth videos. The end screen CTR has gone from a channel average of 1.5% to 13% in my...

    Figuring Out YouTube

    HOT! EXECUTION
I just finished listening to this and also watched Paddy's latest video where he breaks down Mr Beasts recent Squid Game video. It was nice to see his video has gone viral and his subscribers are now running at 10k a day rather than 300 - well deserved. Both were very informative but I had a...

Automating Yourself Out of Your Business

I use Dragon Naturally Speaking. I've tried other solutions and this seems by far the best providing you use a good mic. It's well worth the cost in my opinion. I receive a lot of customer/"fan" emails and most of the time the questions are quite technical. During the lockdown, I was receiving...

It was a good video with lots of ideas. And yes, he makes me feel old. I also thought he needed more furniture to cut down the echo. Thanks for sharing this Andy.

Automating Yourself Out of Your Business

I’m a big fan of automating and simplifying processes to make them more efficient. Long term, I want to automate myself out of my business so it can continue running without me. That’s a tough ask when there’s only me and no employees. My business is writing and publishing books/courses in the...

How to create a good Website?

    SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGN
Here's the Mobile page score using the Chrome Developer Tools report and Lighthouse. I think the scores are quite reasonable. And whilst I know how to use CSS/HTML/Python/PHP/Javascript etc I find building my pages with Divi just fine. I might not choose it as my solution today if I were...

How to create a good Website?

    SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGN
I agree something like Oxygen may give better results but there wasn't a great deal of choice. I opted for divi as the best combination of speed of build/ease of learning at the time. Now I have too invested in the platform to migrate. I would rather invest the time/money in my business. Yes...

How to create a good Website?

    SIDE HUSTLE WEB DESIGN
For reference, divi is no longer bloated since the release in August 2021. It now strips out all excess CSS, fonts and Javascript to only include what's essential. Most of my pages load sub 1 second on a regular SiteGround hosting plan. That said, the internet is full of people who hamper...

    Figuring out explainer videos

    EXECUTION
I think this is a lot better for a course. The previous version felt more like a fast-paced YouTube video than a course. Nicely done.

    Figuring out explainer videos

    EXECUTION
I think that's one reason I originally gravitated to doing screencasts . I like the scripting because you don't need to worry about missing important points. You know, I watched this video when you first wrote about videoscribe. I hadn't realised how he had combined the two. I like the approach...

    Figuring out explainer videos

    EXECUTION
Looking good Andy. It's very engaging watching the transcript come up on the screen. A couple of ideas that might enhance it further 1. Could you slow the delivery a little. It was very fast-paced which is good but could you pause or slow down in some sections to add greater impact? It felt a...

Which MJ Demarco book is it recommended to start with?

Forget reading books for side hustles. Just get on and try something. It's more fun, you will learn more and you might hit on something.

When to buy your first exotic car?

It also goes like stink when you put your foot down. I'm not sure it really fits the bill as a family car though.

When to buy your first exotic car?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
One of my friends had the 911 GT3. Within a month of buying it, he bought a Works Mini Cooper. The 911 stayed in his garage 95% of the time whilst he drove the mini. Another friend had the Bentley Continental GT and ended up buying a Jaguar, again within a month, so he could leave the Bentley...

How long to look for a brand name?

Not my area of expertise but: 1. Don't have too many options - 5 is probably the most I would suggest. 2. Don't pick just the names you like. 3. It's easy to lead people, so try to avoid that and also try not to introduce your own bias in how you select people. 4. Consider asking an indirect...

How long to look for a brand name?

How about a bit of market research with your target market to see what they gravitate towards? Probably not the one you think is best.

Which MJ Demarco book is it recommended to start with?

You can't do justice to any of his books without re-reading them. I would start with the one you've already read - there's a lot packed in there.
