    Figuring Out YouTube

    HOT! EXECUTION
Good result and thanks for sharing. I hadn't realised how YouTube were counting views on shorts. Did you know you can do a lot to edit the tone, pace and feel of your voice using the tools in the free version of Davinci Resolve? If you are struggling to get the voiceover sounding right, it may...

I don't make YouTube shorts (yet) but I'm already seeing my work showing up in AI queries. Only a few hundred a month at this stage but it's only a matter of time. Thanks for sharing.

What a great solution. I use eSIMs when travelling, but I had never thought of using them to create separate business numbers. I could use a different, private number for top-tier clients. Thanks for sharing.

Have you tried asking it how you can best explain your systems and spreadsheets to determine how it can then automate the work or find ways to reduce your workload? I did this with a new course I'm developing, and it instructed me in how to add tags (and what tags) to my notes. I ended up with...

I'll add to this with a few more tips: 1. After using a chat for a while in ChatGPT, it will slow down, especially when you've uploaded a lot of data files. To speed things up, start a new chat in the same project. The new chat will then be back to the right speed. 2. When switching between...

I don't know about book keeping, but I've been asking it for tax advice and to provide reference details with recommendations. So far, it's been pretty reliable, often using Gov.UK website information. It's paid for the annual subscription many times over. It's easy to argue my accountant should...

Yes. I've been training ChatGPT on my writing style, site data and SEO. I've been using it to develop new titles, metadata and update page sections. It's saving me a lot of time. In the past, I would have only been able to manage a couple of articles a week and now I can probably manage two a...

I had lost track of updating this week and only just realised I hadn't added anything. My head is in too many places. Last week The aim was to review and update 20 articles on my website. That's done, but there's another 400+ to go. It's a big job that I've put off for far too many years...

Totally agree. The value is in the information and how you use it, not in how it's delivered. I prefer a physical book, but I'm more than happy to read your eBooks (great value).

Last Week Completed the analysis of my Amazon Ads portfolio and discovered multiple holes and mistakes. I had to face something I had known for a while, which is that I lost control of my ads because there are too many, and my system of monitoring became too complicated. I left the ad spending...

Last Week I was able to design a replacement menu system for my website. This looks much better and keeps the shopping cart icon visible all the time on desktop. The menu then folds nicely into the mobile version, and everything behaves correctly. A nice and unexpected benefit is that I'm back...

You don't need clients like this. They are bullies and a waste of your time. Find more clients. Also, remind him in a professional way that you don't work for him, then put up your price 50%. If he continues, tell him it isn't working out and tell him you are terminating your contract. I know...

What does your agreement with him set out? Is it clear how much of your time he gets for the $400/month, and in what areas? If you haven't set clear boundaries in your agreement, maybe that's the problem. If you did set boundaries, you need to remind him of them in a professional way. ChatGPT...

Microsoft Hates Us: Have You Moved To Linux? How Is It Over There?

    HOT! OFF-TOPIC
Your question just gave me a painful flashback to the 1990's when Linux was all the rage in its various flavours. Lots of people were claiming it was better than Windows for various reasons.
