    How to get my 14 yr old thinking towards fastlane

    MINDSET
    Yeah, I guess I'm inferring from my own experience. I live in a nicer part of the Orlando area, lotta money around here. Now disclaimer, I do feel like these kids might react differently than kids that come from....not so modest beginnings. With that out of the way, I can't tell you the...

    How to get my 14 yr old thinking towards fastlane

    MINDSET
    I think people (kids and adults alike) should figure it out on their own. Is that an unpopular opinion?

    What do You do to assure peak performance?

    MINDSET
    I have. I'm not the best use case, I've been a pretty disciplined person for a long time. When I got it I was already waking up at 5AM everyday for over a year. I think it's great to sell you on waking up early, but that's all I think it does. Please keep in mind my "unique" situation.

    What do You do to assure peak performance?

    MINDSET
    Sleep & lift. Not much else to it after that IMO. I think miracle morning overcomplicates things. Might be an unpopular opinion. My best days are when I wake up after good sleep (7-8 hours) & go directly to the gym & lift heavy a$$ weight & then get after it. Wake up time is irrelevant...

    From Fired to Cold Calling

    EXECUTION
    By far the best book I've read on making cold calls is Cold Calling Techniques by Stephan Schiffman. If you're getting appointments it might be a good idea to A/B test some scripts just to see if you can get a slightly better conversion rate. In fact you should always be trying new things, but...

    What's Wrong With My Bookcase?

    “Only a fool learns from his own mistakes. The wise man learns from the mistakes of others.” Sure, read how-to books. But reading Titan will get you much further in life 9/10 times. I'd say biographies & autobiographies are a very good time investment. I read the how to's only when...

    This is what 60 Pounds (27 KGS) Looks Like

    GOLD!
    I just had a pretty hard laugh, that's hilarious. I get told that I'm someone's doppelganger all the time. I get Zac Efron the most these days (I'm not complaining!). I have a bunch of funny stories! Thanks, I will post pictures of the show. I know it might not have immediate correlations...

    GOLD!
    I know I haven't posted in a while, but I just wanted to share this story of mine. Maybe it will help keep you going when it gets rough (which it totally will). Below is a before and after. So I had always meant to get ripped (and I still have a longgggggg way to go) but for various reasons...

    My First Software Is Now In Development (Thanks MJ)

    WEB/DIGITAL
    Congrats on getting it developed! But I wouldn't even worry about marketing right now. Make sure it is developed the right way, you need to be very on top of the developers. I say take it one step at a time, make sure it is done well. Then test it out, and check out if it stands to your...

    software engineer -> entrepreneur

    INTRO
    The barriers for doing anything worth doing are quite high. Whether that's programming some awesome software, or reengineering an awesome ecommerce product (or creating one for that matter). And yes low expense margin, high profit margin. 90% profits is what I meant :D. There are multiple...

    software engineer -> entrepreneur

    INTRO
    Just out of curiosity, there are plenty of issues that can be solved with software. SaaS is obviously a huge model right now with very low margins as well (I have seen as low as 90%). Not saying not to do eCommerce, but I would think that a software engineer would.....be more attracted to...

    When Does Your Hunger End? (Or Does It Ever End?)

    MINDSET
    For me it has always depended on what I wanted to leave behind, what value do you want to provide. If you just value freedom of time and you achieve that, great. But, for someone like Elon Musk, clearly that wasn't his intention. I think it depends on personal goals ultimately.

    Investment Banker or Entrepreneur?

    EXECUTION
    I'm not sure how that adds to the discussion friend...maybe you are misunderstanding?Those aren't my words, I copy pasted from the link at the top of my post. Either way stating the business is irrelevant too whether OP should be an investment banker or full time entrepreneur. :D Sent from...

    The more I read the dumber I feel

    Bill Gates didn't want to be Bill Gates. He wanted to build better software when he was young. That means it's working. It's not easy doing this, not at all. It's one thing to hear about the hardships people went through with entrepreneurship. It's a whole other ball game to understand it...
